I hear you -- I migrated from Connecticut to Arizona well over 30 years ago. In Connecticut I was a Lowell Weicker Republican -- that made me a socialist in Arizona. As to Republican positions -- I guess I will accept Nixon on birth control, Reagan on tax rates, and Robert Dole on health care.
Barry, moderate republicans do not count in any meaningful way, that is why I became a moderately liberal independent about 20 years ago.
|

Gary, the Arizona legislators are a collection of dim bulbs from the right wing of the TeaPublican party. The very scary thing is that have the majorities to over ride any veto of a 'moderate' TeaPublican governor. No, it's topologists that don't count. If it is finite, add little omega and make it infinite. |

The very scary thing is that have the majorities to over ride any veto of a 'moderate' TeaPublican governor. The good news is that the games these radicals are trying are in fact annoying some remaining moderate Republicans -- and if those moderate Republicans vote with the Democracts, some of the worst legislation might not succeed. |
