Exactly! Several years ago while working as a lorry driver, I had numerous deliveries to make in Downham Market, a nice little town.

Several of the deliveries were to residences close to the town's 2 schools which had teriffic playing fields attached.

The next time my run took me to that area, the playing fields had been closed down.

Several months after that visit, I had that particular run again - on both fields were the beginnings of housing developments.

No wonder obeisty is running rampant! Especially when old farts like him are moaning about the noise!

I wonder if the Baghdad Broadcasting Company mentioned this on their news channel?

Like many in that age group the Meldrews are too senile to remember what they got up to as young'uns or even how their own kids behaved.

I'm glad I'm in my dotage. Most of the activities we and our parents considered normal for kids and teenagers are now either banned or subjected to constant attention from the authorities and "shock, horror" newspaper articles.

Young people are criticised for sitting around playing video games all day but as soon as they stick their nose outside the door they are under constant scrutiny and there is always someone ready to bitch. It's no wonder they form mobs and go troppo occasionally.
