My CPU, according to /proc/cpuinfo, can handle SSE, SSE2, and SSSE3. My understanding is that the difference between SSE3 and SSSE3 is that SSSE3 is the same as SSE3 but with the capability of a few more instruction sets. Based on that I would think I could run the SSE3 32 bit Linux optimized V6 app for AP. Is that correct or am missing some piece of information and I will have to run the SSE2 app until there is an SSSE3 app? |

I believe, as a rule, SSSE3 implies PNI/SSE3, as it's Supplemental |

Do your CPUs support Prescott New Instructions (PNI) aka SSE3? They should do being C2D's Yes it does -- and Urs did update the description to reflect that for the Linux APV6 SSE3 apps. Thanks to all three of you for clarifying that for me. |
