Look, I dont agree with mistreatment of animals. And when it comes time to being killed it should be quick and as painless as it can be.

The United states stopped testing for BSE. And with LFTB(pink slime) we can eventually far surpass the cases that UK has.

yes STOPPED. The preferred tests are much "cheaper" and unless the animal is in an advanced age(very unusual in our beef industry) will invariably test negative. This does not mean the animal is safe, just the test will not come positive.

The European Food Safety Authority says that, on average, Baltic herring and wild Baltic salmon are respectively 3.5 and five times more contaminated with dioxins than non-Baltic herring and farmed salmon.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) explored the idea of testing all horses slaughtered in the UK months before the horsemeat food crisis began in January.

Other countries - including the US, Denmark and the Netherlands - added iodine to salt so that bread and processed foods became a major source of iodine.

The DoH said cutting the amount of saturated fat in people's diets by 15% could prevent around 2,600 premature deaths every year from conditions such as heart disease and stroke.

God forbid anyone should be permitted to die from a nice quick heart attack. They must all whither away in a care home with tubes in them.
