Nothing to stop your from doing your own research into the subject then come up
with your own ideas as to what is possibly also behind the cause here.

Very much doubt that Gary. Our kitchen is kept very clean & the standard safety is applied when cooking/storing foodstuffs.

One other thing about dairy products is they are high protein. A marginal
liver can also react violently to too much protein in general.. you might try
a couple days of almost all starch/veggies/sugars just to see if it helps in general. Not a great diet long term.. but it could provide some insight into what else might be wrong.

Hope you get it nailed down soon.

I'm sure yours is clean. Just knowing however most home kitchens could not pass a commercial food inspection.

For instance, most of us have a cloth towel to dry things with, not permitted in a commercial establishment. Is the sponge you use old enough to have bacteria growing inside it? Simply a list to remind us to double check everything.

Understood. Fortunately, the reason ours is, is because I worked in the catering industry, so aware of the damaging possiblities.

as noted in another thread, Crops have been genetically modified for decades. Most crop seeds have a kill switch installed so farmers can't just replant last years crop. The kill switch causes defects in the Plant DNA that does anything from making the seed sterile or grow but be stunted and malformed. We've been eating these crops for decades and so far that kill switch hasn't done any harm to us.

Proudly brought to you by for [huge] profit corporations.

http://eatocracy.cnn.com/2012/04/24/mad-cow-disease-confirmed-in-california/?hpt=hp_t2

Coming soon to a slime burger near you.

This is the fourth case to reported in California during the past 10 years.
So don't think there's much to worry about at the moment. Out of interest,
the 150 people who died in the UK from mad cow disease did not do so purely
from consuming UK beef. During this period we were also importing large quantities
of beef from France. The French told us that their beef was free from mad cow
as their stocks were all uninfected. But they lied, they lied to protect their
farmers interests. When this was discovered did our minister "Mr Brown" ban
the beef imports from France....NO!, he left it for them lot in Brussels to
decide what action to take. So in the mean time even more people got impregnated
with mad cow. Strange action to take, Mr Brown, especially at that time since
every other country in the world, including France, banned our imports of beef.
So one wounders, how many of those Americans who died from mad cow did so from
eating infected French beef that was being imported into the UK at the time??

Just because you live over the other side of the pond does not put you beyond
the reaches of those "mad mullah's of Brussels"!!

The thing is the USA cattle are seldom tested for Mad Cow. They found ONE.
The symptoms do not usually appear in cattle that are less than several years old, which is longer than the usual age when beef is slaughtered. This however does not offer any protection to insure it is not infected.

Just another small bump in the tip of the iceburg.

Be careful with media reports. It is the first ever case in California and the fourth in the USA.

Johanns said that testing 40,000 cattle a year is 10 times as many as recommended in the science-based guidelines of the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE). The USDA will continue to test cattle from high-risk populations and from a variety of places around the country, he said.

Interesting that this was a COW and not a steer. COW's are not slaughtered. Also interesting that it is a "rare" form of BSE. Maybe radiation from Japan across the ocean and a mutation. Or maybe we will find out the history of the animal and where it came from. Time will tell.

Gary, do you honestly believe when the dairy cows have fulfilled their destiny and grown old, they are set off to pasture where they make happy cow commercials?

While the meat is far from prime, it is still meat. And sources of broths, pink slime, ground beef, and lots of other goodies.

I think they are sent to a rendering plant where they make ken-l-ration.

And living most of my life in the Country I KNOW for a FACT that Old Dairy cattle go into the Food Chain...Farmers Choice. (Cuts in well with Ground Venison For the Fat.)
