If Richard can't write GTX6xx or nVIDIA Kepler or Kepler GPU - or what ever? Hmmm. 'Communication', eh? Remind me what that means, please? |

The astropulse app is OpenCL and to be honest Nvidia is a little behind ATI with OpenCL. AVG doesn't like SDK, It went after a dll and the stock Seti app saying they were both infected, even when downloaded fresh. This was even after I made an exception attempt to try and head off that behavior... The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

Hmmm. 'Communication', eh? Remind me what that means, please? That's when you do or say stuff, that gets misinterpreted & misunderstood, and comes back to slap you in the face. Hmmm. 'Communication', eh? Remind me what that means, please? We'll have to use Max Clifford next time, then :P |

Hmmm. 'Communication', eh? Remind me what that means, please? That guy's awesome. You could learn something from that bloke. "Living by the wisdom of computer science doesn't sound so bad after all. Hmmm. 'Communication', eh? Remind me what that means, please? I do my best to learn from anyone and anywhere - that's what being a messenger pigeon is all about. |

Hmmm. 'Communication', eh? Remind me what that means, please? Well we can only hope that all messenger pigeons aim to strike so high :D Back on topic, well done with a great release, and I hope that all should strive to go as smoothly. Just wondering if there is an AVX MB app coming soon? In a rich man's house there is no place to spit but his face. Diogenes Of Sinope |

Just wondering if there is an AVX MB app coming soon? That's one I'll have to pass back to the back rooms at Luna HQ. I'll let you know. Whatever happens, I suspect the answer will be "not until the release of SETI (multibeam) v7 at the Main project" - which we were half expecting last October, so your guess is as good as mine. |

Just wondering if there is an AVX MB app coming soon? Stock beta 6.97/6.98 is already AVX enabled ;) (Yeah I know what you mean, just had to say it :D ) "Living by the wisdom of computer science doesn't sound so bad after all. We still have some idiots running V12 on Fermi (um GTX 460+ ?) and that is over 2 years and 4 opt app generations old. No. I am not suggesting things that used to work should stop, rather that the code should not run on new hardware until it has been validated. Given nVidia drivers are not forwards compliable to me it seems a sensible precaution. As it turned out with Kepler there was not an issue, but Maxwell may be a different story! |

I'm not going to intentionally program a non-functional codepath based on detected device characteristics into any of my builds ever. Intel did that, it cost them billions. Just wondering if there is an AVX MB app coming soon? Yep meant the Opt app. And I agree that waiting for the v7 is probably a better use of your time. In a rich man's house there is no place to spit but his face. Diogenes Of Sinope |

Yeah, just think how much it would cost Lunatics if we got mad at them and demanded our money back!! How much did that new installer cost again?? PROUD MEMBER OF Team Starfire World BOINC |

It's broken. My first Astropulse 6 completed after 20 seconds. I want a refund. >:o( That was a B3_P1 AP. Those have a problem and are about 98% of the time 100% blanked. Take a look at the taskID for it and you'll see: In ap_remove_radar.cpp: get_indices_to_randomize: num_ffts_forecast < 100. Blanking too much RFI? This app works as I crunched 5 last night Please don't use the NV r540 app, as it doesn't have the code included in the v6 6.01 apps, run the NV r555 app instead. Claggy |
