it is not that bad giving a cat a bath.

I mean sure the fur sticks to your tongue but.......

ROFL.

And I've given several-a-kitty baths in my time. Some cats are ok, some are NOT! hahaha.

My kitties often give me baths of affection when I go to sleeps with them at night....

I don't ask where Purrball's tongue has last been when she nibbles my nose.....
It goes with the part and parcel of kitty love.

Same with my dog. My wifey always looks at me with humorous disgust, I just explain to her that my Maggie's tongue is cleaner than hers. :-)

I believe that had been medically proven......

Kitty licks nose and then the teeth come out? What does that mean? Just curious of course.

If kitty licks you and then kneads you with their claws or tries to nibble on your nose, it means you are more loved by them more than most humans could understand.

They trust you, they love you, you are their one and only.
They often only do that with other offspring, or other trusted kitties.

My Purrball especially, does this to me almost every night.
I tell her I have to get some sleep, and she settles down and lays her chin on my arm. Her big eyes in the morning when I wake up are something to see.

That's in a nutshell, what it means.

Wow, thanks. No wonder Grace follows Me around the house.

Well, Vic, it's all in the relationship.....

Look at it from kitty's view.
She is a captive. Destined to slavery. Your slavery.

She relies on you for her very existence.
Fresh water and kibble.
Her litter box is your responsibility.

No wonder she loves you.

Esme, the kitty-art is great! Thank you.

Well raccoon fanciers, on Wednesday night I heard chittering and so I went upstairs to check it out. We have raccoon babies. Eric thinks he saw two babies, but they went under the deck and I didn't see them.

It appears that we have a new dominant female. Oddly, she has a broken or badly hurt right front leg and she gets around on three paws. She is small too, so I think she is young. She is probably one of our former babies, but I can't for the life of me figure out who she is. She seems to know us, but she really keeps her distance. She goes under the deck if we go outside, but she will come out if we are watching through a fully open window. I have started calling her GiGi. She is quite a tough customer though, so I can see why she gets to bring her babies here. Wednesday night, while she was eating and her babies were under the deck, another raccoon came into our yard. Eric and I watched GiGi spring up four tall concrete steps, teeth bared and snarling like a hell-hound, as she chased the other raccoon out. It was probably Logan who got chased out, but I didn't really get a good look. I've watched GiGi and Logan eat side by side before this event. They snarl at each other occasionally and try to bite, but for the most part they co-exist ok. I had never seen GiGi chase another raccoon so aggressively. Without doubt it was because she had her babies with her that evening.

This is the earliest we've ever seen babies. Old Threesie used to bring them by much later and Interloper Mama was the same. I don't know if there will be an issue when Interloper Mama comes by with this year's brood. We haven't seen her in quite a few weeks, so I assume she is busy with babies.

Anyway, now we need baby names. As usual, I will select one name from each person's list of possible names, until all the babies have been named. We will need at least two names, possibly more.

On your mark.... get set... Name The Babies!!!!!!!

I respectfully submit the following names. Perhaps one will fit the personality of the new kids on the block.

Arnel, Raynel, Burnel, Marcel or W.L.

Congratulations Angela and Eric on the new litter!

Donna would be my choice this year.

Poor Logan Frodo.

Maybe you can get a pic. Marking shouldn't change, so with a little or alot of digging, we may find out how she is.

Lets see how about:

Spock, Kirk, Apollo, Starbuck, Adama...

I like where you are going Vic. Expanding on this theme: Spock, Kirk, Bones, Scotty, Sulu, and of course Uhura.

Now for the next generation of racoons I suggest ....

Great names! Gigi has come the past two nights without her babies, so perhaps Wednesday was a fluke. They must be very, very young. I will try to use as many names as possible, but I have to say that I have a slight preference for "Boomer". That is just simply a GREAT raccoon name!!!

Well, I have watermelon, strawberries, bluberries, peanuts, and bird seed scattered around the bird feeder, but instead of a raccoon, I got another fox.
