This is on my daughters PC and I have only just installed the card but it is registered there. Here is the link to here PC http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/hosts_user.php?userid=9431135 Maybe the new APP or both the app and driver. This is certainly interesting news. Maybe I'll see if this works on the HD6370 in my notebook as well. SETI@home classic workunits: 93,865 CPU time: 863,447 hours |

Here is the link to here PC http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/hosts_user.php?userid=9431135 I imagine it was only a problem with 3x and 4x cards. I have seen more than one 5450 running OpenCL apps. Also with older drivers. With each crime and every kindness we birth our future. |

I guess once setup it was OK but I bet it was a pain initially to get it to work properly? Yep, getting ATI drivers that would co-exist with Nvidia drivers was a pain for a while, Claggy |

Claggy I've actually got two mixed Nvidia/ATI hosts, both hosts GPU's coexist with minimal probems, the only thing to note, is that when installing drivers, for correct OpenCL operation, the AMD drivers need to be installed last, Claggy |

Claggy I have just noticed that you seem to be running 2 different GPU's in your system! http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/hosts_user.php?userid=35858 Do they work ok together or are you just running one unit and the other was an older card?

I find it a strange one, if it continues to report successes and the other settings fail I will reset it to work in this manner.

Here is the link to here PC http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/hosts_user.php?userid=9431135 Hmm it runs OpenCL,r390 with a card which have a Max work group size of 128. According to the release documents that should not work, but this completed WU says it does work: Task 2344581713 Someone more knowledgeable than me should comment on this. Merry Christmas! |

I had realised I incorrectly typed the number hence why it's been removed :) I have asked the mods to hide my reply :-) Merry Christmas! |

I'll see what happens at the end of the work unit and see if it returns an error if it does I'll try another setting and wait! Can't you give us a link to the computer in question (maybe unhide it too if it's hidden), so we can see how it performs, and view the stderr of the completed work units. Merry Christmas! |

If the result come back as corrupt then I will try the other settings again!

StenI bet your HD5450 is a 1GB card as mine is only a 512MB!! I haven't got a HD5450, I have a HD4850, as I said previously, but it is a 1GB card yes. Merry Christmas! |

Looking through clinfo the card's work units are 128 but if I use the settings you suggest for <256 Boinc doesn't register a GPU, but using on the settings in the image works! I will leave it to run and see how it goes from here! Just start ignoring the first number and concentrate on the last 2 or 3. x850 and x80 are high end. x770 and x60 are middle of the road. x450 and x30 are low end.

I will leave it to run and see how it goes from here! If the workgroup size is 128 then the applications selected in the image will not work. BOINC may download tasks and try to process them with those applications, but it will just result in errors if it attempts to run them. SETI@home classic workunits: 93,865 CPU time: 863,447 hours |
