Well, "Workunits waiting for assimilation" still there, so looks like they just added some disks. I would advise to make bunch while it possible...

Can't expect it to disappear like that. It will take some time for the assimilators to catch up with the backlog.

Wow. It's President's Day in California - somebody went into the lab on a holiday to fix this!

Having said that, it looks like the SSP broke down, just when I was trying to take numbers for analysis...

That might be cause something forgot to pop the clutch when going into drive from park and so it ended up in what amounts to neutral. ;)

Working now, looks like it just missed one refresh.

So, from that sample we are looking at some 50k/h clearing of assimilator backlog. Some 2 days before they have fully caught up, give or take.
As accurate as a rate can be from only two data points - I really wish Scarescrow would find the time to get the graphs page working again...

Now tat "WU's are flowing" I noticed that on my computers have gottem a total or 490 GPU WU's and 10 CPU WU's.

Is this because of the "strength" of the GPU's being satisfied first??

Motion seconded.
They were very usefull for seeing how things had been going, and where they may be heading.
Some other graphs were setup for a while, but they're down too.

I wish that were the case here.
Apart from one or two random WUs, the usual response is "Project has no tasks available". There're a lot of hungry systems out there.

EDIT- and all the WUs i've got so far have been shorties. That's going to exaserbate the problem.

Pondering what to do in terms of PG Riesel GPU here. Got enough for the Inspiron CPU: got 2 17orBusts with 630-hour completion times ;)...

Yes your GPU's will be filled 1st as they are more powerful than your CPU but once the GPU's are satisfied your CPU's will get their share.

Cheers.

Well, v6.10.xx combined with limiting my downloads to the good server & my cache is almost full (at least to the present limits) in less than 24 hours without having to hit retry 10,000-15,000 times.
I'm pretty happy about that.

And the SSP is stuck.
Consequently cricket is slumping.
On the upside only a few hours till we are in maintenance anyway.

SSP???, what the heck is SSP???

Single Shot Pistol? Shoot Sucker Please, Summer Science Program, Statutory Sick Pay, or what???

Enough with acronyms that aren't understandable for everyone, please...

SSP, in Seti@Home, even I don't know that one, for part of My income, sure, but not this.

Server Status Page

Thanks for the explanation, but who except the insiders could have known that? It could have meant anything. I have been here since 08, and VW Bobier since 03, and none of us had a clue what it was.

Is it really that hard to write out in full "Server status page"?

It must be. As I don't really ever refer to it as that. I either use status page or server status. SSP had me stumped as well.
