Yes, some do seem to put the pounds on once they get inside this establishment.

And not always in their bank accounts!

No gainful work today then guys?

Yes unlike some that no longer do. I'm currently installing Win 7 on numerous systems and hate watching paint dry....

..then again, could fatten myself up and apply to the LibDems.

If it's Lisbon, you take a gamble that Portugal won't go bankrupt while you're there and impound the lorry.

Not really, that belongs to the company and their problem. If that happened, oh the time I could have on the beaches........

..sure beats looking at dour Scots!

Rarely see any happy ones. They're either boozed up or drugged up. And the ones that do the unloading are the most miserable bunch i've ever had the misfortune to see.

I say give them their independence, they'l soon come running back to mummy and then we can dictate to them how they'll operate in the future.

Well, their future is in their hands come the vote next year, For the time
being though I'd rather seem them go for a Yes vote just to see if they can
make Scotland tick on it's own.

I predict the vote will be 2:1 against leaving the UK. Of course I could be quite wrong, but at this stage that is how I see it.

oh the time I could have on the beaches.......

Don't think the Tagus River has any, you might need to go West young man!

Can see that you don't drive much abroad. So you're saying that between Calais and Lisbon, there are no beaches?

If you like San Sebastian in Spain then yes.

So this is a figment of my imagination then....

Hmmn, I'm pretty sure that it comes before San Sebastian

I don't know what sort of Sat Nav you have in your lorry, but St Malo is nowhere near the straight route down from London to Lisbon. I think your company needs to keep a closer eye on your extra curricular activities.

Lisbon route

Huh? Where does London enter the picture? Just because it's full of LibDems that doesn't mean the rest of the UK doesn't exist!
And the question was: -

No beaches between Calais and Lisbon?

typical avoidance from a wanna be politician!

If it's Lisbon, you take a gamble that Portugal won't go bankrupt while you're there and impound the lorry.

Yep, gets impounded and I make my way home hitching a ride from beach to beach until I hit the miserable beaches of........

..then a train ride home :)

BTW, that route you provided is for cars. Don't forget HGV restrictions :)

Oh, btw only muppets use Sat-nav. Those with brains use their heads.

p.s. This is the Scotland thread isn't it?

Practice what you preach.

That's the best bit of wriggling you've done for a long time :-)

Nope, you really should learn the language of "your" professed nationality.

The question was "No beaches between Calais and Lisbon?" to which you replied San Sebastian. Suggest you go back to school & learn Geography.

If it's Lisbon, you take a gamble that Portugal won't go bankrupt while you're there and impound the lorry.

The rest of my comments were in reply to the stupid remark above.

FYI the first beach between Calais and Lisbon is Calais itself so whatever happened to San Sebastian?

Did You know that Calais is actually a seaside town?

Then we have Bolougne

Shall I continue?

Salmond paid £20,000 to keep a document secret, but the document never even existed. Telegraph

Scottish ministers published figures showing they spent £19,452.92 going to court to appeal a ruling by the Freedom of Information (FOI) Commissioner that they had to disclose whether they had sought advice from their law officers on the issue.

Nicola Sturgeon, the Deputy First Minister, suddenly announced the case was being dropped last year because “no specific legal advice” existed, but it was not previously known how much public cash had been wasted.

£250 on a pair of Tartan trousers? How big is this guy?

Seriously though, £20,000 is a decent amount of money to an individual, but compared with most government waste i'm not sure it even registers.

Drew Smith, Scottish Labour constitution spokesman, said: “It’s outrageous that the SNP has used public funds in an attempt to hide the truth ahead of the referendum.
They're politicians, what did you expect, honesty?
Life on earth is the global equivalent of not storing things in the fridge.

Grangemouth to close....

Curtains for Scottish independence if this refinery closes. Amounts to 2% of
Scottish GDP and if Salmond is unable to save this refinery then I suggest the
independence game is well and truly over before it began. Salmond's hoping for
UK and other governments interventions to stop this closure from occurring. I
therefore do wonder if, in the back of his mind, he's thinking of raising a loan
so to enable the Scottish government to nationalise this industry.
