I took a look around to find out about Scottish business sales to the rest of UK and to the rest of the world. All I could find was a note to say "It was not possible as many Scottish businesses were part of UK businesses." That wasn't a surprise as the last company I worked for has 9 UK addresses, 7 in England and 2 in Scotland. But most people would not know that as the English offices all work under one name while the Scottish offices each have different names. |

A report reported by the BBC Scottish independence: Oil fund 'raises budget questions' suggests Mr Salmond's idea needs a lot more thinking and a better financial climate before implementing, if ever. |

So this upsets that applecart then.... Murphy's second plank's law "B" is the spectral radiance, and since you failed to radiate your lottery numbers over the seti web site so Murphy's law broke down. Hence the result being the reciprocation of the true event had you, first, radiated your numbers prior to the draw. Well, Murphy knows what I mean?.....Actually, Murphy gave this reciprocation factor another name, "Sods Law".... Salmond has a longer game rising from the 2014 referendum date. He believes he can swing it, and if he does I think that will colour his SNP offer to the Scottish electorate in the following General Election. If he doesn't win a majority for independence, he will use his substantial vote in favour to extract a significant additional devolvement of powers, including personal and business tax rate setting. It's good to be back amongst friends and colleagues |

he will use his substantial vote in favour to extract a significant additional devolvement of powers, including personal and business tax rate setting. Giving Scotland extra powers to this degree means having independence in-all but by name. This power grabbing exercise will go on and on in Scotland and will only stop if either they are given full independence or the Scottish government was to collapse. If the referendum vote goes against Salmond then this should be enough of a clout for the UK government to decline any future demands Salmond may make. Demands for Scottish independence will only proceed whilst there is viable quantities of oil in the North Sea. Once the oil has gone so will the demand for independence wain with it. The UK government just needs to drag things out long enough enabling them to thwart the SNP in it's quest. If the UK government has not the stomach to do battle with Salmond then their best off promoting the idea of Independence for Scotland in hopes of this vote going Salmonds way. Either then we loose Scotland for ever or the independence exercise fails in time hence they rejoin the Union for good back under one UK government again. If I understand oil things right, the new deep water finds have been west of the Shetlands, and in these islands territorial waters. I believe the Shetland Islanders do not like being ruled from Edinburgh, and, indeed, would prefer to come under Westminster's orbit. What would happen is Salmond got the independence and the Shetlands came voluntarily back to the UK, No oil for Salmond? It's good to be back amongst friends and colleagues |

Most probably do a Kirchner and ban any boats sailing to or from those Isles. If you look at Salmonds face you notice a gap between his upper lip and his philtrum. Just ideal for growning a wee rectangular "black" moustache.....just a wee-wee joke.... Just curious has UK ever elected Scotish or Irish or Welsh prime minister for the whole UK? Well since those 3 are kind of their legal federal or union members so there might be some kind of governing privillige things. But I have no idea there is monarchic governance work so it is really a puzzle for some international crowd. Mandtugai! |

Prime Ministers who were of Scottish origin... Stuart 1762-1763 (3rd Earl Of Bute) Hamilton-Gordon 1852-1855 (4th Earl of Aberdeen) Primrose 1894-1895 (5th Earl of Rosebery) Balfour 1902-1905 Campbell-Bannerman 1905-1908 Bonar Law 1922-1923 Ramsay MacDonald Jan-Nov 1924 McMillan...1960-1963 Douglas-Home 1963-1964 In 2000 we then had... Tony Blair....He was born in Scotland Gordon Brown...Fully Scottish David Cameron...The Current Prime Minister of Scottish origin. None seem to have originated from from either Wales or Northern Ireland. So far the United Kingdom have had 74 prime Ministers,12 of whome came from Scotland or had direct Scottish ancestry. So the remaining 62 were English with a ratio of 5 to 1 being English this is well below what you would expect since the population of England sits on a ratio of 11 to 1 against Scotland,Wales and Northern Ireland combined. So mathematically Scotland has had more than it's fair share of prime Ministers in relation to it's population size within the UK. But who's complaining, no one as far as I'm aware the only unhappy people are the Scots? So then why Irish extremists were exploding bombs all over London for decades while scots act not too much extremely?? Before the modern legal system functioning they were both legally english colonies I guess (considering welsh is completely absorbed into english). And maybe the colonies treated little differently some how so different reactions from them. It is just distant observer's light conclusion. Maybe 15 years ago I began to see strange things that in World Football cup I see english flag team then scottish flag team competing probably there is irish flag team was present in case if they were evaluated. All 3 were competing as different international teams. Mandtugai! |

The Scot most recently elected UK PM was Tony Blair. I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that ... |
