Have been trying to use the GPU on my AMD motherboard.
the system see the GPU and seems to want to fetch work units for it but claims none available. Are these WU different from "standard" WU or am I missing something in a configuration or some other files somewhere?

Got the nvideo GPU on my laptop to work just fine.

And that claim is correct. ;-)

There's no stock SETI@home application for ATI GPUs. (See Applications, reachable from Participate in SETI@home)

You can, if you wish to do so, install 3rd party apps that will work with seti@home. You'll be reponsible for their upgrades and updates. So you'd need to actually pay attention to your apps and the seti@home forums
