Message 1188897 - Posted: 27 Jan 2012, 17:43:43 UTC - in response to Message 1188895.

....I can tell you this.
My top rig is losing cache steadily. And if I am losing cache, a lot of other rigs are as well. Even though server status shows over 200k WUs ready to send, the scheduler/feeder combo is not getting the job done. Otherwise, bandwidth would be saturated right now.

Something is not happy in serverland right now.

The Crickets' hiccups this week (another one starting now) notwithstanding, my best rig is rebuilding its cache and is now within 10 of its limit.

(OTOH, the wifi here at work is having major fits today; this is the third time I've typed this message.)

Yeah, I'm just about back up to limits again too. Things turned around last night and started to refill the kibble bowl.
I had run out of CPU tasks, and what little was being issued was all going to the GPUs. The scheduler was not sending any for the CPUs until the GPU cache finally hit the limit.

All quiet on the kitty front......for now.

http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/result.php?resultid=2285687485
21jn11ac.11720.1299.4.10.72
estimated runtime is the same as normal results.
waiting for download.

Edit:
Just seen got one more of the big results that is downloaded
http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/result.php?resultid=2284242733
21jn11ac.5207.12342.3.10.25
in this big result
fft_len = 256
ifft_len = 1

So, has anybody successfully crunched one of these oddballs yet?
If so, was the estimated crunch time close?

I can't be sure, but these 3 are part of the 5207 set. They've already been deleted locally, however, so I can't confirm they were jumbos.

The first two -9'd, but the last ran all the way. Run time on the full one was just over 12 minutes, about right for my GTX570 running 2 at a time.

I only have 4 total. On my HTPC I am forcing the two it has to run now so we can get results. So far they are running shorter than their estimate.

Once complete we will see how they do.

I'm getting these no with _2 tags now and it seems that no one can agree on an outcome so far.

Isn't it time for the feeder to be upped from 100 WU per fetch to 200? I get the "no WU Available" at least once a day from one of my four machines... (and normally I only look once a day, in the mornings, Berkeley time.)

There have been intermittent problems with the Scheduler for a while now. Having more WUs available in the feeder won't help with that.

Both of the ones I ran on my HTPC validated without needing a 3rd wheel. :D

One was noisy and cut out early with a -9, but the other ran its full course without any issues it looks like. The GPU it validated against actually processed it as well without an error!

Same here....
But still wonder about the source.....did anybody see that 21jn11ac dataset in the splitter queue in the first place? It has not been there all day when I looked.....

The first task I had assigned to me was at 2012-01-26 5:24PM EST. So I would guess it was split before then. Maybe even the day before?

Ditto on the crunching, still after so many 366-367 sized wu's, this is one for the book.

I just noticed in checking to see if I had any other jumbo sized work. I didn't but I do have several smaller than normal size tasks.
