Now thats what you call timing, lots of AP's and the beginings of a shortie storm.

Ya..you would think we were just coming back up from a Tuesday outage...LOL.

I really should not say this really, I could be accused of jinxing the system, but I can't stop myself.

If they continue to add more AP files, and the shortie storm continues, the chance that all servers and databases will survive the weekend, is actually infinitesimal.

Crap, I just said it :-)

Oh, great...

Yep, caches should be severely depleted by then.

Great. Because of your #$*!@!% astropulse I cannot download $#!@. I have a huge download queue going nowhere. This is comical.

Start up your crunchers and prepare your retry buttons, ladies and gentlemen. Lots of new AP files were just added to the splitters.

So far I've managed to grab two.

99 of my last 100 GPU WU's are shorties.

Is it hurricane season?

No AP's here, just a shortie locked up in download. 3 slots avail, nothing coming in.

APs seem to be flowing pretty steady here the last few hours.

Just in time to replenish cache before Tuesday, I hope.

Finally got a 150 or so new tasks in last night... Looked at it this morning after they took the entire night downloading : are 110 shorties for both CPU and GPU pfffff.

On the other hand : got 4 AP's after god knows how long...

Almost got a full cache, so many shorties on GPU's I'll be lucky if it lasts 12 hours.

Looks like APs or not, the yellow feathered one may have a chance for a dip before the Tuesday outage.

Let's hope he doesn't clog the pipes after-wards, like he has been.

Looks like the shortie storm is easing, starting to get a few regulars in the downloads now.

I've reduced, the hosts doing SETI MB & AstroPulse, to 2, both running v.38g and
using CUDA.
I stopped using my I7-2600, for a few reasons, some projects are not
'compatible', i.e., a host doing memory intensive projects like Rosetta (~300-725
MBYte RAM per WU, Einstein has alot of HDD, tranfers, CPDN needs a large storage,
which can be some GigaBytes.

As for the Thread-Title, DownLoads/UPLoads, can hardly keep up with the processing rate.
And helping BOINC by (endlessly ;-)) pushing the buttons, sometimes works, especially around 12:00 to 17:00 hours (UTC), Berkeley 'sleeps',
BOINC, doesn't..........

Well, it's not all that dark and now 2 hosts do have work, indeed, a lot of 'shorties', but that will change, I do hope :).

Have a crunching good time.
