Very strange ... I have all the apps selected in my preferences and the send anything else as well.

Note the first request does not get messages about which apps
The second request does
And the third request does not

The network traffic was looking a bit off for several hours a couple of hours agao, but it appears to have settled down.
Still getting lots of "Project has no Tasks available" messages, but both systems are pretty much up to the serverside & stuffed DCF limits.

I get weird messages on work requests sometimes. Most of my machine I have set for:
Run only the selected applications SETI@home Enhanced: yes
						Astropulse v5: no
						Astropulse v505: no
If no work for selected applications is no
available, accept work from other
applications?

Yes I'll still get messages like you did.

In your case I understand.
I'm set:
Run only the selected applications SETI@home Enhanced: yes
						Astropulse v5: yes
						Astropulse v505: yes
If no work for selected applications is yes
available, accept work from other
applications?

Which I don't understand why I would ever see the message, unless they deploy a new app.

All I can think of is the timing of the request when it first looked nothing was available then it checked the send anything and had a MB work unit available. Such double checking could be messing with the timing of the 100 work unit queue and slowing things down for everyone.

With my settings I shouldn't be seeing the message:
SETI@home Message from server: Your preferences allow tasks from applications other than those selected
or anything about AP either. I just see that every now and then. I don't give it much thought other than "Oh that is odd did I change something?"

Start up your crunchers and prepare your retry buttons, ladies and gentlemen. Lots of new AP files were just added to the splitters.

I'll take AP, but I'd love to fill up with CUDA units also. I keep getting this work unit called "no new tasks". You don't seem to get a lot of credit for it though.... :D

Yeah, I've also noticed that the "no new tasks" units seems to be so extremely short, just a second or so, that it never gives any credit at all. Adding the thousands of "no new tasks" units together though, makes for many hours of free crunching of these extremely short WU's. I demand that we'll get at least 1 credit for each of these odd WU's.

LOL

I must have about 20 thousand or so of them right now, but there must be another bug in Boinc, because they don't show up in cache list...
And the few Cuda tasks that I get issued lately that do show up are not much longer.

Now thats what you call timing, lots of AP's and the beginings of a shortie storm.

I really should not say this really, I could be accused of jinxing the system, but I can't stop myself.

If they continue to add more AP files, and the shortie storm continues, the chance that all servers and databases will survive the weekend, is actually infinitesimal.

Crap, I just said it :-)

Yep, caches should be severely depleted by then.

Great. Because of your #$*!@!% astropulse I cannot download $#!@. I have a huge download queue going nowhere. This is comical.

Is it hurricane season?
