We will be sorry to see you go Amen to that. rasc, have you tried posting your issue in the Questions and Answers section? There are often knowledgeable SETI users who could possibly help you resolve your problem. I've gotten good help that's helped me significantly improve my crunching stats. I'm getting tasks daily and whatever problem you're having may be unique to your system. |

Fed up with SETI and lack of available data to crunch -0 always an issue these days ! Guys, lets atleast behave, this a Tech Forum... and please don't use getting no work, (Guess, there'll be always an example.....?!) I still get work even with a 3 days cache, infact 1 day, but work comes in, gets crunched and is sent back. I not complaining, cause everything, workflow, network traffic(can take some time), works isn't getting worse, then a (few) month(s) back, has become more consistent, BOINC 6.12.34, does have it's advantages (Can take a while to DLoad, but 3 hosts always have SETI@home work, even with BOINC 6.12.34 ;^)). The only difference, nowadays, we are processing more in 1 year, then in the 3 (or more?) years before, due to speed-up in, as well CPUs and the (extended) use of GPUs.... And building up a cache??? What is send, gets computed and is returned. ![]() |

Guys and girls, eh? Or maybe it is the opposite way? Where does it show up? I still have an old story on my mind. Where is the weak spot if I should be looking for such? Do you need to wear any glasses to have any? Maybe I should try this... |

I'm lucky to get a 1-day supply most of the time; what secret proxy do you use to ensure a steady connection? Direct connect is not reliable on this end. |

Hi First go back to 6.10.xx (i use 6.10.60 you could downlodad in the Boinc page) Be shure you intall the old version correctly (for me i need to run the install 2 times on each host) After that use: http://www.freeproxylists.net Look for a proxy close from your place with a high response/transfer ratio. As i see you have several host, i sugest you try diferent proxies one for each host an looks what one is the best and use it. If anyone of the proxies kick you out, return to the list and choose another. Thakes some time to find the best proxy but its works. ![]() |

I'm lucky to get a 1-day supply most of the time; what secret proxy do you use to ensure a steady connection? Direct connect is not reliable on this end. i have a 40 Mbit cable connection (i can download up to a 4.0m/sec) a very very good connection. my Boinc version is : 6.12.34 (x86) in my Preferences Calculations ?? ( sorry i m french and it s written in french ) i have : Computer is connected to the Internet about every Leave blank or 0 if always connected. BOINC will try to maintain at least this much work (max 10 days). => 1 day Maintain enough work for an additionnal : => 3 days ---------- i always have tons of tons of work to crunch, but ya, it s mostly cuda_fermi, like at 99% but i remember a time, like maybe 2,3,4,5,6 months ago ?? , i had to check the transfert tab, select all, and spam often '' retry '' until everything has been downloaded :p |

It is therefore we were given the task of running through those 1999- observations by the Arecibo Radio Telescope. Anyway, I do not remember the "finishing date" for this part of the project, but I ran my part almost from the start, perhaps missing the first week or two. Like Skildude, I am not supposed to have found anything of interest, though. Perhaps this is the point of it all. Just meaningless data, everything. |
