I was just wondering why SETI@Home doesn't have a page on Facebook? Wouldn't that be a good way to recruit new users, or at least let people know that this project is out there? Or do they have a page, and I just couldn't find it?

Probably in part that it is part of the U of C and isn't allowed. Also they are very busy and really don't have time to send silly updates to a pointless website. We do have forums that already fill the bill for anything that facespace or mybook could do

I've never been interested in a site that whose intent is to coax me into providing them with astronomical amounts of data about myself. If they want to data mine do it the old fashioned way and put a trojan on my computer
