Well, I don't know anything abouf the prefix, but a message like

is a good sign, that it's using optimized apps.
BOINC should ask for GPU work pretty much immediately, you can see that also in the log. To actually get some WUs for the GPU assigned AND downloaded is a different thing ATM...

This my log. I can see that i'm using optimised apps. But no GPU tasks for now.

Install is DONE. How do i figure whether it works or not? Do i have to restart the PC? I guess it takes some time before i get tasks for my GPU.

edit: One difference i noticed is that my tasks have "Local" prefix now. Other than that it looks identical before installing lunatics.

edit 2: btw i'm running windows 7 x64. does that matter?

You can either choose 4.1 or SSSE3 Version.

Note.

Beware if you choose apps for your GPU your driver will probably cause high CPU usage.

I suggeest using drivers 11.2. - 11.5. if you want to crunch with OpenCL apps.

I'm installing the optimized apps now. There's this options screen in the setup. SSE 4.1 seems to be the newest iteration and my CPU supports it so i should choose that?

OK guys i have several problems regarding BOINC. I'm participating in several projects such as Collatz Conjecture, MilkyWay@Home and Seti@Home.

The thing is i'm actually not intrested anything other than astronomy but seeing my GPUs (2x AMD HD 6870s) are not utilized by Seti@Home made me move to other projects that can put my GPUs into good use such as Collatz Conjecture.

I want my i7 950 @4.2Ghz to only used by Seti@Home and i want Collatz Conjecture to utilize only my GPUs. But every once in a while Collatz Conjecture downloads CPU tasks and hinders my Seti@Home RAC. How can i set the projects individually to use only CPU or GPU?

Or better, i've seen that there's a way to run Seti@Home on AMD GPUs. Could you please tell me how to do it? I'm very into computers and such but this BOINC thing is all new to me. I don't know anything much about it and there are really limited info about how to set up BOINC to make Seti@Home use AMD GPUs.
