There are not a lot, with my fading memory, that stand out....
They come and go with such velocity these days that it's just a blurr.
But, there are a few notable moments when commercialism managed somehow to rise above it's intent and actually entertains us for those few moments that they have paid millions of dollars for.....

My absolute favorite (and go figure, it has cats in it), was this EDS quirk that I think was first broadcast during a Superbowl about 10 years ago.

EDS cat herding....

Another great series was the Axe menscare commercials......otherwise known as the 'bom chicka wah wah' series...there were a bunch of them. My favorite of the bunch was this one.

Bom chicka grandpa......

And there were some that did not rely on humour to get their message across, but were very classy.....subject in point was the Honda Accord commercial about how all their parts worked together....I think this one won some awards.

The Cog......

Soo....some were jokes, some were serious, some just went off the rails, a few were banned after a few showings.

Any truly classics of yours?

I really liked that last one but the top commercial for me is still the Mac intoduction.

1984

Another Honda commercial that I really loved is:

The impossible dream

and of course:

Where's the Beef

Thanks, Carlos!
The Mac commercial was not bad, I had forgotten 'Where's the Beef?', and the Honda commercial gave me goosebumps.

One of my best loved friends I have lost along the way....Mr. Les Paul.

He did a Coors commercial way back......

I will never forget the look on ol' cowboy's face in the freeze frame at the end of the clip.

Just a few off the top of my head:

One for the boys
Dodge Charger Super Bowl Ad: "Man's Last Stand"

Best Apple ad
iMac - Colors

Can't find The Exorcist version:(
Pepsi - Godfather

The copied-to-death Smirnoff ad by the genius called Michel Gondry
Michel Gondry - Smirnoff

Another Michel Gondry classic
Levi's - Commercial

And the YouTube version of
VW - Beetle

I don't think we can top Wendy's "Where's the Beef?" though...

(Edit: Sorry kenzieB, must have hit reply by accident)

Like this

Oggling and ...

Motorcycle side car ...

and from the early days ...

and many many more

Reminds me of earlier today. Took my daughter surfing in Pismo. They still let you drive on the beach.
