There are not a lot, with my fading memory, that stand out.... They come and go with such velocity these days that it's just a blurr. But, there are a few notable moments when commercialism managed somehow to rise above it's intent and actually entertains us for those few moments that they have paid millions of dollars for..... My absolute favorite (and go figure, it has cats in it), was this EDS quirk that I think was first broadcast during a Superbowl about 10 years ago. EDS cat herding.... Another great series was the Axe menscare commercials......otherwise known as the 'bom chicka wah wah' series...there were a bunch of them. My favorite of the bunch was this one. Bom chicka grandpa...... And there were some that did not rely on humour to get their message across, but were very classy.....subject in point was the Honda Accord commercial about how all their parts worked together....I think this one won some awards. The Cog...... Soo....some were jokes, some were serious, some just went off the rails, a few were banned after a few showings. Any truly classics of yours? I really liked that last one but the top commercial for me is still the Mac intoduction. 1984 Another Honda commercial that I really loved is: The impossible dream and of course: Where's the Beef |

I really liked that last one but the top commercial for me is still the Mac intoduction. Thanks, Carlos! The Mac commercial was not bad, I had forgotten 'Where's the Beef?', and the Honda commercial gave me goosebumps. Meow! "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

One of my best loved friends I have lost along the way....Mr. Les Paul. He did a Coors commercial way back...... I will never forget the look on ol' cowboy's face in the freeze frame at the end of the clip. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |
