It would be much better to ask this on Malaria than here. This is a general BOINC question and it makes sense to answer it anywhere. Yes. If you have not done much work for a project, the Duration Correction Factor can change dramatically after the first task is complete. It can also change a great deal when a new version comes out, or even when the parameters change in a way that is not as well understood by the project as they thought they were. BOINC WIKI |

It would be much better to ask this on Malaria than here. But, the "estimated" time is often a pure guess, especially if you haven't done much work on a project in recent months. Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

Hi, yesterday i got 10 malaria WS with 1h 17 of total crunching time, hours later crunching time its about 2h 40. Why this is hhappening? (They are still wating to be crunched) Eithier you're completed some and your DCF (Duration Correction Factor) has changed to compensate for their actual runtimes, Or maybe you're crunching on Battery Power, Or Boinc has done it's Benchmark on Battery Power, while earlier it did it on Mains Power (with faster clocks etc) Claggy |
