I've just updated on of my hosts (308265) to the latest version and used the latest(?) version of the Lunatics Unified Installer but now I'm getting loads of failed workunits. The log shows "Output file for xxxx absent".

Help! What have I done wrong? Is there anyone who can point me in the right direction?

I've got a horrible feeling that it's my GPU that is trashing the woukunits, but, I'm not sure how to prove this. I'm setting the host to "No new Tasks" just in case as I don't want to keep trashing workunits.

Well, the errors are indeed coming from your GPU.

You're running "CAL ATI Radeon HD 5x00 series (Redwood) (1024MB) driver: 1.4.1546", and you're running one of the OpenCL apps.

The first error you get is "Error: Getting Platforms. (clGetPlatformsIDs)"

That makes me wonder whether you have the OpenCL driver correctly installed, but beyond that, I'm out of my depth with ATI. Someone else will be along later.

Thanks Richard.
I'm a complete "blank page" with GPU's but you have confirmed my fears. Just for safety I've unset the "Use GPU" option on Seti until I can get this sorted. Looking further this host trashed a load of PrimeGrid GPU tasks as well overnight. Looks like a need a GPU expert!

You are running Cat 11.9.

Try Cat 11.2.

11.3.- 11.5. might work also.

First thing to try is GPU Caps Viewer and see if it reports any OpenCL support, I suspect not,
Then uninstall and reinstall the Catalyst driver, making sure you're got the the Catalyst driver with the OpenCL driver embedded, and not the Individual Download without the OpenCL driver,

Ha, what a surprise. Your suspicion was right. No OpenCL on GPU Caps Viewer.
Will try uninstall / reinstall of the drivers. Will try 11.2 as suggested earlier.
Thanks.

Urgh.
Uninstalled 11.9, rebooted, Installed 11.2 rebooted. Still no OpenCL!
I used "11-2_xp32_dd_ccc_ocl.exe" which says it has the OpenCL driver.
