Not to worry, I have both my fingers and toes crossed to prevent jinxing. My toes hurt a bit, but it's worth it to keep the servers on-line. |

I've been bouncing of the WU limits for days frustrating, but not fatal (yet) Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

I've been bouncing of the WU limits for days frustrating, but not fatal (yet) If you are hitting the limit that means you are getting work to do. I am jsut glad they bumped the limit up cover 50. My 24 core box was only able to have a cache of about 2 hours with 50 active tasks at a time. The bandwidth may be maxed out, but new work is downloading at an astounding rate. I've never seen such fast downloads. I'm getting download times of about 2-3 seconds per work unit, even in bunches of 10 or more. Nice! Steve Warning, addicted to SETI crunching! Crunching as a member of GPU Users Group. I'm getting download times of about 2-3 seconds per work unit, even in bunches of 10 or more. Nice! That is agony! That is more like what I have been used to lately. It required constant button pushing, although I didn't have time to do it as much as I had wanted. I agree Mark. It's time to fill up a decent cache! Piggy has just gotten back over 40,000, and is picking up speed. I can't wait to get back over 80,000. Steve Warning, addicted to SETI crunching! Crunching as a member of GPU Users Group. I'm getting download times of about 2-3 seconds per work unit, even in bunches of 10 or more. Nice! For the first time in a long time, I have more pendings than valid tasks........ I would have thought not, given that caches are forced low. But, the kitties are also not being given the chance to cache a lot of work and allowing then to 'age' in the cache, thus allowing then to 'hit' right away when done. I'm getting download times of about 2-3 seconds per work unit, even in bunches of 10 or more. Nice! I had an astropulse download at over 150 kbps from start to finish. It didn't back off or anything. I was wondering if I had been staring at the manager for a bit too long and was seeing things :) |

That's what I'm seeing too, except for every work unit. This is excellent! I do feel bad for Mike, and anyone else with stubborn downloads. I have certainly had my share of them. Steve Warning, addicted to SETI crunching! Crunching as a member of GPU Users Group. GPUUG Website |

If I've ever been able to upload and download this fast, it was so long ago that I'd forgotten what it looked-like. If this is normal, I'm lovin' normal. I don't dare say what I'm hoping-for, but this is the first time in a long time that I've even had hope. |

Only difference I see in the cricket graphs is the daily graph now has a minimum set at 10mbps instead of 0:-) I havn't had to abuse the retry button all day, well maybe the update once or twice. Bill |

Since the 're-hash' of last weekend, I've regularly been seeing D/L speeds of 240kbps+ and I've loved every second of it! lol The only small niggle I have, is the AP work being done and, for the moment, not being validated and then, the process being repeated....download, crunch, upload and wait and wait and wait and back to download etc, etc. Don't take life too seriously, as you'll never come out of it alive! |

After seeing a message in BOINC, concerning an UPdate, again after 14 D'Loads for XP64, downloaded BOINC 6.12.34(64bit) and x32g LUNATICs app. , installed and fired up BOINC, which inmediatly started D'Loading at a nice speed, 2 by 2, and some AstroPulse v505, nice. (ALthough they're computed faster on ATI GPUs). 8 hours on my fastest CPU, X9650, but 3000-5000 seconds on ATI, 1 instance_per_device, 200-400 seconds CPU). |

The crickets are faltering. Still a lot of load, but not maxed. I seriously doubt everyone has hit the limit or gotten their fill. Looks like uploads are tapering off slightly at the same time as downloads. Linux laptop: record uptime: 1511d 20h 19m (ended due to the power brick giving-up) |
