Someone is cleaning the dock befor the maintenance outage - just got around 60 WUs (nice mixed APs and MBs), nearly all _2 and _3 .
That's enough for my cache ;-) .

Wonder when they will turn on the Ghost resend? It was turned off Oct 6 per Matt's post in Tech News. I've had 70 from some timeouts on Oct 5, + 4 more from recent ???. Twenty of my Oct. 5 ghosts just timed out a few minutes ago.

Uploads have just died, downloads appear to be rapidly declining.

Maybe they are just restarting the scheduler with higher limits? One could only hope...

That wouldn't kill all active down/uploads though.

Maybe they are upgrading the ram in the router?

Edit: Or maybe the RAID pooped out again. Which would still be the kitty mans fault somehow. :D

True. I guess we'll see! I'm hopeful though, as it looks as though it was on purpose whatever they did. There is some life showing on the Cricket again...

Looks liek it was an upgrade to the PAIX router after all! As Jeff mentioned in another thread.

Well, that is good news indeed.
Now...if it just has the desired effect.
They are awaiting responses in the HE problems thread, and if there still is evidence of ongoing trouble, I'm sure another round of troubleshooting with HE shall ensue. At least now HE can't blame the router's lack of memory.

As posted in the "HE Problems" thread.

From my abode. Pings and trace routes to all 4 SAH IP's are still showing at least a 25% packet loss 75% of the time. These losses are happening in the last couple of hops.

It looks like we're back to the original problems we were having in June.

Well, at least that's a step in the right direction, isn't it?
Better than no connection at all.
Hopefully if the routing problem has been mostly solved by the RAM upgrade, the packet loss can be addressed next....
Hopefully.

Nobody say it was unnecesary. I believe next step might be to use all of paid gigabit bandwith, not only 100 mbit...

Yeah......
But there's something funky goin' about.
There has been AP data available to split for a while now, but the AP splitters seem to have had trouble picking up on that. Usually, bandwidth maxxes out as soon as AP can be split.
And the last server status update shows MB ready to send dropping, yet some MB splitters are no longer active.

So......something's afoot, and we may have more to talk about soon other than the dang cache limits.
