I have managed to donate for the first time, even though it was a meager amount, I will be donating a monthly amount from now on. I wish you luck in your funding drive as you need all the help you can get no matter how small the donation.

I'm a nobody in Indiana, Lower Middle Class, Been running SETI since 15 Feb 2000. First time money donor. Sent them $20 U.S. maybe it will help them keep it online instead of all the downtime last month or so. As I said been running since 2000. And this last outage is the worst they have had. Instead of complaining about the outage do like me and at least send them something.

Dear Albireo380,

Thank you for your gift to:

SETI@home

We received your gift of $30.00 via Visa on 10/17/2011. Your confirmation number is XXXXX.

Okay, just a small donation, but times are hard over here in the UK. I guess every little helps.

Nice one Tom! I think everyone is feeling the pinch, but supporting Seti at Home is more than a worthwhile project. I am going to be doing a small amount monthly as I find it easier. One thing I would suggest is that if Teams have members who struggle to pay directly, they can have a member who can donate directly take the funds and pay through them. This is easy to do as I have done it through our Guinea Pig forum. Just a thought..

A very healthy amount that will hopefully go along way to helping. However, regular donations would help even more.

Team Seti@Netherlands does this already. Then they forward me the list of the donors and the individual amounts. Then I forward it and get them their stars.

I probably won't be donating again this year as I've already donated $25 in April. However, I have instead signed up for GoodSearch. In approximately 2 weeks I have raised $0.50. If I keep up this work it would mean around $26 in a full year - this is actually quite good. Now imagine what happens if 100,000 SETI users did the same...

And really, there is no excuse not to since it is absolutely free to use GoodSearch! So to you guys who want to help, but do not have the money (yes these are crisis times after all!) why not sign up to GoodSearch?

Thank you for letting us all know about Goodsearch! It's a worthwhile cause and I will be using this in the future too!
