Then you merge 2 machines the RAC is artificially increased also.

No is doesn't. So what if it was created earlier? It's a SINGLE cpu 2.53 GHz P4.

If you could provide the links to those computers others might be able to provide some answers. However, remember that when you merge computers the created date is the date that they were merged. Also, it is possible to merge different computers into one if they are similar enough. That might be considered cheating although it would not affect the total amount of credit awarded to the user's account.
