Hi. Been a SETI@Home user since 1999. Just upgraded from ATI card to NVIDIA GT 440 on my ancient Dell Dimension 8400. Running Windows 7 64BIT. Every one of my SETI GPU work units comes up with Computation Error. Milkyway@home doesn't give me any problem running GPU work units. I've googled/binged/searched these forums, etc. for about 12 hours now and I'm more confused than ever. I see lots of posts about how folks are getting this kind of error, but frankly, I don't understand any of the responses. There's way too much new terminology for GPUS (CUDA, FERMI, Lunatics, astropulse, etc.) At this point, I can't even find the tab that used to show the error messages. Instead, I've got a new useless tab called "notices" and no status tab. Can anyone point me to a a fairly clear explanation of what I need to do to get this working? I |

1) Your SETI@home Enhanced v6.10 (cuda_fermi) Error tasks for computer 6150103: http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/results.php?hostid=6150103&offset=0&show_names=0&state=5&appid= Show only: - exit code -1073741819 (0xc0000005) after 0.00 sec Run time (which means the SETI CUDA app crashed immediately after start) Read this about possible solutions: http://boincfaq.mundayweb.com/index.php?language=1&view=98 You can use tests ("demos") in GPU Caps Viewer to check the stability of your card: http://www.ozone3d.net/gpu_caps_viewer/ Another program to test the GPU is OCCT Perestroïka: http://www.ocbase.com/perestroika_en/index.php?Download (Exit BOINC before any tests) 2) Do you ask what are CUDA, FERMI, Lunatics, astropulse, etc. or you know already? 3) Messages tab in new BOINC is called "Event Log" window. Find it somewhere in the menus or just press Ctrl-Shift-E  ![]() ![]()  |

Have an new iMac and it has the AMD Radeon HD 6970M 2GB GDDR5 video card. I have been processing batches fine up until today. Every batch i have done is showing as a computation error. System is not dusty and is not overheating (As it is in a 65 degree room) Errors seem to be from the Seti@home Enhance 6.04. Any word on what may be causing this, and also a possible ETA to when it may be resolved or how to resolve it? Thanks in Advance |

Maybe come to the NC subforum thread and report your experiences there: 'S@H Enhanced v6.04'. V6.04 is new for MACs. Maybe it have a BUG. - Best regards! - Sutaru Tsureku, team seti.international founder. - Optimize your PC for higher RAC. - SETI@home needs your help. - ![]() |
