Someone caught that badger on a good day. It's just thinking about killing the guy with the camera, rather than what it's going to do with his skull afterwards.

Most interesting! Until now, the only thing I thought badgers did to skulls was keep them warm!

I shouldn't be too mean. Badgers do find use for Nebraska's only export.

Edit: Note that it's covered in Wisconsin Cheddar so it's edible.

Swedish Moose plastered! Moose needs AMA! (Alcoholic Mooses Anonymous)

http://edition.cnn.com/2011/WORLD/europe/09/08/sweden.drunken.moose/

"It was raining really bad. In the wind I heard something screaming with a very dark voice," Johansson told CNN. "At first I wondered if it was the crazy neighbors, but then I heard it again and went and checked. I saw something really big up in a tree in my neighbors' yard and it was a moose. It must have been drunk after eating fermented apples and as it was reaching out for more fruit it must have slipped and fallen into the tree."

A drunken moose is set to amuse
for us it is rare for a moose to self abuse.
But, fermenting apples have a long known effect
on pigs in apple forests, for those wishing to collect.

Once free, the moose collapsed on the ground and fell asleep. So we let him sleep it off and went back home

Hahahahaha.

These apples, which ferment in their bellies, aren't part of their natural food, so they can get quite angry from this drunkenness

Moose are mean drunks? :)

When I went out for the newspaper it was still laying there on the ground, sleeping. By the time I left for work it was walking around the neighbor's yard on very shaky legs

After a night out I've had a few mornings/afternoons like that :)

Yeah, but never on 4 cloven hoofed legs I'd say.

The moose chose to snoose, and sleep.
But, it snored and snored fit to bust.
As time passes the smumberer needs a tweak.
Unfortunately it explodes and we're covered in dust.

Moose just aren't designed to climb trees.

Shame they had to cut some branches off the tree as it looked as if it had quite a good crop on it - unlike those around here, which has meant no "windfall cider" for me this year.

Scrumpy is for me in the traditional mold.
Chopped and pressed through the straw, like the days of old.
Many's a pint of orange scrumpy passed my lips,
back in the 70s, before Healey's tax, where money stuck to his finger tips.

I am on a popcorn break.

No popcorn here, just lightning and no thunder, bit of a light show.

I was at a local sushi bar. I had my fill and a leisurly pace 2 beers(sapporo, large bottles, those things are huge and I was in happy space..

[Sushi chef]
"One more Sapporo?"
[Me]
"You would have to take me home"(Tongue firmly in cheek, he recently married,
me not interested and definately not his type)
[Manager]
"You take her home?"
[Sushi Chef]
"Maybe not"
[Me]
"Good call"
((just dying of laughter and obviously time to cut myself off))
[Manager and Sushi Chef try to maintain looking professional]

Whee Janice!!! Cute story and I know EXACTLY what you mean by "happy space". Eric and I didn't get home until around 9pm tonight. Dinner was a path of least resistance - bread, cheese, olives, grapes and a bottle of vino. Not sure there is much left in that bottle right now. I did share some grapes with IM, Logan Frodo, Otis and Floyd. Logan has learned how to scratch on the back door to announce his presence. If I were not in a "happy space" right now, I would probably not find that to be so charming!
