There was an extra "n" in the worm's spelling. It should be cojones. The ca is understandable to an English ear as the c is hard sound or k sound like the ko in kona. The jon in English, replace the "j" with "h" and add "e" to get a long O vowel sound, hone. The es is ess. So you have ko-hone-ess.

In his sentence it would have been a very vulgar reference to male bravado.
