Desperation has set in. Their tracking polls must be trending down. They know they are going to loose. Some jackass slapped a politician for president bumper sticker on my new car while I was in the grocery store tonight.

Fortunately for me he didn't press it down hard and left a corner up and I caught it before the sticky hardened, so no damage. Otherwise do you have any idea what it costs to repaint a bumper cover? Felony vandalism!

Science has proven that men respond to their wives cycles. Pheromones. I'm wondering what the phase angle between the first lady and the moon is. I wonder what phase she was in on the dates of the debates. That way we might know how much Prez is influenced by lunacy!

Well according to Nate Silver FiveThirtyEight Blog, who got prediction right in 49 out of 50 states in 2008 and correctly forecasted all the 35 Senate seats contested that year, it's going to be Obama.

A few of the Baseball fans might know of Nate Silver as he started his predictions with Baseball Prospectus using his PECOTA system for projecting player performance and careers.

I still haven't quite worked out what the effect will be on the UK, whoever wins.

I won't get into individuals that is just not necessary and would be counter productive.

I don't really think pointing out individuals helps much either, but I just thought I'd state what was on my mind. I simply find a certain humorous irony in the situation is all.

I won't get into individuals that is just not necessary and would be counter productive. Maybe its people being jittery because of the forthcoming Presidential election. Maybe it's a general reaction to world financial instability, and continuing military conflicts. Maybe its a disillusionment with modern society. Whatever the reason, we seem to be seeing the results of it all the more frequently here on our Politics forum and threads.

OK, as people obviously realised, I wasn't really serious about a social service grant, nice as it might be deservedly be, but I think my observations are still valid nevertheless. Just makes our mods beleaguered life more difficult than it needs to be.
