I'd like to add that for a certain individual that prides himself in hating SETI@Home, and all those damned liberals that are "in control" of the message boards, and whose sole purpose seems to be to create as much discontent as he can with other SETIzens (a true troll), I think they should write a personal letter of thanks to either Fred or Dr. Korpela expressing their gratitude for allowing them to post on these fora.

Do you know what? I have never known so many religious fanatics, out and out nutters, society outcasts, and bar stool preachers, around these boards in a very long time. Why? Because they get away with things here that they wouldn't be allowed to in real life or anywhere else.

Seti is clearly providing a very valuable social service in keeping all these people off the streets, and out of institutions. Whoever is the next USA President, should award Seti an extremely generous government grant to fund it's continuing work.

I commend this recommendation to Congress.

Sarge, apparently many 20 and 30 somethings have learned something from the great 2007/2009 recession. They are less inclined to big, debt-centric purchases -- homes and cards.

Then again, I sort of learned that lesson a while ago -- we've been in the same house (long paid off) for over 30 years. We consider new car purchase every 6 to 10 years (Currently we have a 2005 and a 2008). And, even though we live in Arizona -- one of those long distance to get places kind of state, between the two of us we put on about 10K miles a year these days.

As the reception goes in and out with my Black and White TV, seems The Message Becomes Clearer. The tin foil on my Rabbit Ears and constant fiddling with adjustmet is Decoding the Tin Foil Hat Wearing Zombie Spin. It's like Last Century Low Tech is Decrypting the 21st Century, Billion Dollar paid for Communist/Fascist/RiechStagish Propaganda(ironically a Last Century technique being used by DEM/Libs-so why the Last Century Barbs OBlabby?). I double-checked with my couple crystalled AM radio from the 60s and it confirmed my B&W TV.

So why is Future Nick TV Star OBlahBlahBlah demonizing The Past? Is it because Pitiful's Past(last four years-well, whole life) a Total Fail? Peace Prize Potus thinks the 21st Century Mind cannot comprehend Failure. Failure is the same now, as it Ever Was. There is No Forward into The Future without The Past. And Drone Hit Man's Past is the Future 2012 Election Fail.

BTW, I do not own a tablet, and my phone cost about $15 and I pay for minutes, which I can stretch out quite a while. It's no "smart" phone.
If you really are what you've claimed, someone like me must drive you crazy. You rail against "zombies" consuming, but it's what you profit from via your trades, I'd bet.
I think I understand now why hard working intelligent people call themselves white trash, when at worst, they listen to country music. It's because to YOU, as they limit their consumption, serve YOU little, and so they are trash.

I haven't seen any failure. I've just seen a Democratic president picking up the pieces of a huge mess, and not doing too bad a job at it either...
