Or even to be a fire fighter. I was told by My Brother that My late Uncle was a Fire Chief of Culver City CA back around 1923, Of course so far the only two brands back then(I could be wrong) seem to be Ford and Stutz, The Family owned a Garage and after a certain fire the trucks were moved into the family owned Garage, Note this was a Business, not to be confused with where one parks their Car(s) or RV. Of course around the same time My Grandpa was the Police Chief and We have His Gold Shield, He was later a City Councilman. Yeah I have 2 pics of the Garage and of a Bicycle Shop in nearby Palms that My Grandpa had owned, which ironically is under different ownership today in the same location and is still in Business, Unlike the Garage which is long gone. The Today Show mentioned that Corn sweats and raises the humidity, which they say is good for Corn, just not so good for people... The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

Unfortunately for us in the UK we have been getting wave after wave of low pressure systems hitting us continuously since mid May. Fortunately most have not been too low in barometric pressure to cause rain. But the latest ones hitting us have bought troughs of lower pressure inside them so giving us these resent regular bouts of rain. Again this summer just like the previous four have had their weathers greatly influenced by the passage of the jet stream. This summer just like the previous four the jet stream has run mainly over southern England. Hence diverting the dryer and higher pressure systems coming from the mid Atlantic across to the south of the continent. The result being that the jet stream has dragged the lower pressure systems driffting into the north Atlantic from the North of Canada and allowed these to drift continually over the UK. So any weather system south of the jet stream has tended to flow over the continent and any weather system under or north of the jet stream has flowed across the UK. In April we had a long spell of warm weather where the jet stream was running over Iceland. This permitted the high pressure systems coming up from the Mid Atlantic to flow over the UK and on to Scandinavia. Does anyone remembers the hot UK summer of 1976 where we had three and a half months of continuous sunny weather from late May to Mid September. On this rare occasion the jet stream ran over the top of Scotland and stayed in that position for those three and a half months. This caused a high pressure system to sit over the mid to lower parts of the UK through all this time. This position of the jet stream had the effect of pulling up the weather fronts from over Asia at a time that they have their monsoony type weathers. Hence this lower pressure system hit the continent and they had a lousy summer "for a change". We in the UK got the normal continental hot summer weather bought up over us instead. Time for bed now....still working nights. |

Satan called to apologize, someone left the front door ajar. He didn't say if the door was supposed to be closed or opened fully, so what happens next, weather-wise, is uncertain... Lt |

Ihanx Michael:) That's if the electronics for the control panel aren't burned out, I'd replaced the batteries in the remote too thinking that the reason the control panel wasn't responding was the old batteries(duh, reality bytes Me), I'll know more on Sunday, gad it's 94F(34C) in here, but night is coming and the clouds have most gone away. 1/3 HP motor for this cooler. Oh and the cooler I mentioned in My thread? It's this one here, but most likely a 1/3rd HP motor and a Dial 1175 concentric cooler pump would be better, I'm not sure if the splash from the 11000 concentric water pump that the park put in caused the cooler outage here or not, but with the cooler unplugged the usb hub on My pc is now behaving better(I swore the thing almost sounded like it had the hiccups) and if that Delta 3400rpm 120x25mm 113cfm fan I ordered today for the new pc will get here(It replaces a Delta 3700rpm 120x38mm 150cfm fan), then I can migrate to a 45nm cpu that runs cooler than this old QX6700 59-65C(QX6700/Corsair H50) vs 35-45C(i5 750/Corsair H70) as one of the current fans in the new pc is noisier than I like(sounds like a jet engine, slower speed or not). Oh and soon I have to get My car smogged, there goes $53 to the dragon SMOG... The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |
