Well it's the top of the second heat wave on the east (right) coast, ambient temp right now is 98f (36.6666c), heat index if 100; and had to stop crunching on my biggest (i7/950) system. Tommorrow it's supposed to 100 with a h/i of 101. Before anyone hollers, it is sitting in a room on the wrong side of the house on the 2nd floor with no breeze, a/c; just a cieling fan and one in the window blowing out. My other system (q6600) is on the floor and does not have a problem so far.

Anyone else having any heat problems?

Hate to say this but I visited my Parents for Memorial day weekend. That Saturday we set an all time record for the area. Wichita falls Texas had 109 degrees F and my dads 3 digital thermometers recorded 113. Talk about not working outdoors. I could stay out for about 10 minutes before being drenched in sweat and needing to get indoors the 2 days after were a bit cooler but we had 30-50 mph winds the rest of the weekend.

Nice and cool down here just north of DC. I don't think we topped 98f today...

Cool water is a life saver!

It hit 103 in Minnesota yesterday and felt like you were walking into a hot air dryer.

Only made it up to 85ËšF today, but forecast is for 90's for at least the next 8 days.

Of course I will be up in an area that will only be hitting the 70's for the next 5 days.

Mid to upper 70's here in Northern Nevada. Slowly creeping up into the upper 70's to lower 80's over the next couple days. Finally starting to kinda feel like spring.

Our high temp today got all the way up to 59F in northern Wyoming. If this trend continues we may open a window sometime during the month of June.

Heat and humidity - dreadful.
But we forget about the dew point, which can be positively oppressive.

It's not too bad...YET

Current conditions @ 11:30 am:
Temp: 85°
Wind: ESE at 7mph
Humidity: 51%
Dew Point: 65°
Pressure: 30.03 inHg and falling

I laugh at people when they say 90's are hot. Living in Florida, mid 90's are the average high with usually 75%-90% humidity. We've not had any rain in a while. The ground is dry, but the air is humid. Without A/C, we would all die here.

I wish I lived near the coast. The sea breeze helps a lot. Can't wait until the afternoon storms begin. It's been an unusually dry spring/summer. It's probably the cap of hot air in the atmosphere, keeping the storms away.
