Well I thank whoever put that lot on my box, now I can go to bed and relax, and to try sleeping.
Again thanks.

Good morning, I just found out that the storage upload has a http error,
can anyone confirm this?

Sure looks like it. The server status page time is 0720 UTC, about 1:40 minutes off - so something's been dead for that long. Bah!

Yes. It looks like upload servers are down again. Maybe the same thing that happened a few days ago. And around the same time of day too? Coincidence?

The Server Status Page hasn't refreshed since 09:20 Dutch time.

Edit: Lost my Wi-Fi while I was replying. Sorry for saying the same as above comment.

Hello, I started working with my new PC for about 10 days until last night he downloaded several units, but by tonight it was LOCKED! In the first 8-9 days drew up two units at a time (two processors), then yesterday he started to work with only 8 units (perhaps using all 8 processor cores), but all'improvvisso stopped by tonight with the BOINC written "under sentence of death"?? Some 12 hours that crashed. Can you tell me what to do? I downloaded a lot of unity and firm. I have to reset everything (losing units discharged) and start (reset)? Thanks for your help! Tonino

Silver, this is the News forum. You might do better to post problems in the Chrunching Forum.

Yes Blue Angel, upload server seems to be completely down and downloads are very slow. Nothing wrong on your end.

Yes this is news forum, unfortunately the SETI staff never posts any news. It seems it is up to the users to update the status of the system. Once again the upload server is not functioning (cricket Graph) and the server status on the site shows it as UP. Further the server status page shows that the work units recieved has not updated for 56 hours.

A little bit of information posted on the site would allow volunteers to understand the status of the servers and the system. The staff needs to remember that people are supporting SETI.

Please remember that this is a low-budget University research project. S&H DOES NOT have 24/7 tech support.

While Matt and Jeff do have the capability for some remote trouble-shooting, and can power-cycle and restart some of the servers from home, UC does not normally authorize overtime for weekend work, so the problem with the Server Status page and the lack of available work may just have to wait until Monday morning PDT.

As always around here, patience is not just a virtue, it is a requirement.

Isn't Seti@home a distributed project as well?

The people at the server end really has done a heck of a good job lately.

Uploads were eventually going up and I am in fact awaiting new jobs for my PC to crunch on.

How long has this project been going on?

The WOW signal was detected on august 15, 1977.

Someone recorded a track playable on an old style grammophone player (LP 33 / LP 45 / LP 78 - which means 33, 45 or 78 tracks a minute).

But unfortunately the contents of the track were missing. Apparently it was not being included in the track.

The Seti@home 3.08 client (prior to the launch of BOINC Manager) is probably more than 10 years old (before that, the version 3.05 was in existence).

Do we still know for sure (or not) whether we are alone or not in this big Universe? Perhaps Seti@home needs user involvment in order to be able to reach a conclusion.

Just a thought by me.

Enjoy the summer heat!

Is it possible to get only Astro Pulse, and how does one do it. The reason, its a reasonably long calc time and it removes the continuous on and off the Web to get data packages that last only a few hours, like 2 hours and I seem to be having to keep looking at the web site.
I'd rather look every 40 hours that every 2 hours.

Set your preferences to Astropulse and don't accept other work.

Be advised expect some long idle periods.
