Looks like it's time again.

I think that it's time to ban the duck as it seems that every time it makes an appearance something breaks not long after. :D

Cheers.

Well, plenty work, mostly SETI MB (AR=>.36), atleast on my production host.
But none are out of work, can't UPLoad, 1 after all, that's all. My LT, other rigs
appear to be doing their 'job' ;-)
Nothing very unusual for a (long?) weekend, it is here.

I saw the crickets drop off, and I figured it would be a while before I could fill up. I've been busy today, and only checking sporadically, and when I checked, I had downloaded all my wu's. I didn't expect that! That , of course, explains why the crickets dropped off. Piggy is full!

Steve

PS. We can't ban the duck, as the duck is a really cool symbol that things are working perfectly! We should make a whole family of ducks.....

Only if somebody with authority is online, monitoring and activates the darned thing.

No downloads again.....

It's not too many computers, it's a lack of circuit breakers for this room. But we can fix it :)

Must be a problem at your end.
Network traffic has been pegged at maximum for over 18 hours now. Plenty of downloads going through, just takes a few attempts for it to happen.

Not sure what's happening, but the downloads are starting to accumulate. It's taking more & more retries before each Work Unit finally downloads.

In past .13 and .18 were the ends of the URLs of the both DL server.
If it's still the same - now .13 is not reachable.
Strange, but the cricket graph show maxed out DL. IIRC, normally it was then max ~ 60 or 80 Mbits/sec.

I guess something is wrong with the DL service.

[EDIT: Ohh.. now the .13 server send answer. So this DL server have currently a long response time.
EDIT#2: Now 3 symptoms alternately.. immediately answer, long response time and not available.]

Every single download is a shortie. Every single one.
So there's your problem.
Another server death is imminent.

Yesterday, as you rightly say, every single newly split task was a shorty - I just saw a very few reissues (_2 and above) of mid-range tasks.

This morning, at long last, I've started to see some longer tasks from 08ap11ac and 09ap11ac. There are shorties from those tapes too, so we're not out of the woods yet. But there is just a little bit of variety!

It didn't last.
Results returned per hour is usually around 45,000 to 50,000. It's been above 70,000 for the last couple of days. It's presently just under 85,000- and still climbing.

I got ~50 midrange WUs yesterday.
But i had to retry up to 10 times.
Took me 20 hours to downlod 300 units.
