Hi Guys, sorry I have to remove BOINC, the program will not release my computers and binds them up so they become unusable for anything else after 5 hours. A real shame. I will continue to look in to see if any fixes are out to solve this. Thanks, Steve

Oh, this is sad. is setting on CPU usage help your situation?

As your first post ever, no suprise that you cane to the wrong section of the forums. You need to go to the number crunching forums, create a new thread, and provide your system specs there, and the symptoms you are experiencing.

If you have already chosen to move on, sorry to see you go, but if you want to try to make it work, head over to the crunchers.

Jeff just posted an update here.

Downloads are GO (I just got 2 new Tasks), but no mention of when Uploads will come back.

All my uploads have gone through and I've downloaded plenty of new work. Figures they would get it going again right after I allowed E@H to get new work! :-) I thought it would be at least Tuesday before we got going again.

Thanks to everyone that put in all the effort to get us going and a special thanks to Overland Tech Support for going above and beyond the call to help us out!!

Is the upload server working correctly or just getting hammered with traffic, I am having major issues uploading results. Some uploads are sitting at 100% after 5 min and other are just timing out.

The upload server is being hammered by all of us out here returning our little (or not so little) mountains of completed WU. While this process is taking place there will be dropped connections and re-tries, so be patient as it will take a couple of days to get through this stage, then we can expect "normality" to return - until the next time.

Well, I'm dead in the water with nothing coming in for days and a huge stack of outgoings waiting for outgoing. I think that was the cause of the rain this morning and now I'm catching a cold...

Servers have plenty of work units available to crunch and are starting to accept returning data.

If you aren't getting any new work, might need to make sure your hard drive space limits haven't been met. Had that happen to me once when I changed machines and didn't pay close attention to my hard drive allocations.

If you still aren't getting any new work, check over with the number crunchers.

Oh My! Sorta like that motel ad getting cereal from the dispenser - go to bed all plugged up and wake up to a stack of incoming the likes never seen before. Now I remember why I run S@H. Great job, guys! Thanks.

BETA will probably be down for a few days longer. At least that's my guess. They may not have the ability to run BETA due to having moved other servers around just to get this one to work right. Patience is a virtue. In a few days hopefully we won't even remember these issues were a problem.

Is now something wrong with upload server? Completed WUs doesn't uploading, and on cricket graph upload line is down to zero.

Was wondering the same about the upload server. Guess I'll just get back to enjoying what little is left of my weekend in that case and leave the worrying to the server techs. :-)
