My Phenom X6 1055T was giving errors when processing on all 6 cores here It would processes 3 seti and 3 einstein, no problem and it would processes 6 einstein, no problem. But 6 seti@home the 6th core would run about 3 seconds then call finished. Somewhere I read that I should have 1GB per core, and I have only 4gb on this 64bit system. My fix right now is to set a local preference to use 84% of the cpu cores. |

I have a similar machine http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/show_host_detail.php?hostid=5798463 Phenom X6 1100T running SETI@HOME on 6 cores without errors. This has only 4GB RAM running Vista 64. I am running 6.10.58 not 6.12.26. John. GPU Users Group |

I have a similar machine http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/show_host_detail.php?hostid=5798463 I was using 6.10.58. I was getting the errors then. I was also using a 90 day trial of MS Windows 7 Enterprise 64, but I put on the MS Windows 7 Professional 64 now too. And before all this I had Ubuntu on it too. I never tried stock apps on this computer. Everything is running fine now, with a limit of 5 cores crunching. |
