Friends... You all know my wife had emergency surgery earlier this month. Well she has continued to have complications and now we are facing possible Liver or Gall Bladder issues with another imminent surgery. If its the Gall Bladder, surgery will correct it...I don't know what happens if it's not. Please bear with me during this time...fact is I'm scared for my wife. Blurf |

5pm EST Update: The situation is definitely being caused by gallstones. I don't know yet if they'll be handled surgically or not. |

Depending on size, they can be crushed with ultra sonar, i.e. non invasive (iirc) I sincerely hope you (Suz) is not getting pancreas side issues from a stuck stone... 5pm EST Update: The situation is definitely being caused by gallstones. I don't know yet if they'll be handled surgically or not. I do know that once a gallblader is removed, people feel much better. Livers are much tougher to fix. Best wishes, but that sounds REALLY encouraging. Janice |

Yeah, Livers can be sectioned and will grow back into a whole liver I've read, But I don't know how difficult the operation is... Soft---yes removing a Gall Bladder is tremendously easier and recovery time is 2 days. Vic--my father oversaw a Partial Liver Donor Treatment program at a local hospital for 3 years. It is VERY painful and does take time to regenerate. |

Soft---yes removing a Gall Bladder is tremendously easier and recovery time is 2 days. Well It's that or a complete transplant, If Suz is having liver failure that is, But hopefully not, I hope It's something simpler. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

It is VERY painful and does take time to regenerate. Ok, this is a choice I may have to make in the next year or so, I may be needing a new liver, so painful for the giver, or receiver? celttooth |
