Apollo This has one's done some hard work, needs a clean & a bit of panel beating :) [Image Link] "Living by the wisdom of computer science doesn't sound so bad after all. And unlike most advice, it's backed up by proofs." -- Algorithms to live by: The computer science of human decisions. |

Cruncher #1: iMac 25" ("Mike-Belangers-iMac.local"); 3.06 GHz Intel Core Duo 2 processor, 500GB HDD 4GB RAM (DDR3). Cruncher #2: Acer Aspire 5315 laptop ("MyLaptop-PC"); 1.86 GHz Intel processor (single core), 160 GB HDD, 3GB RAM. Cruncher #3 (on the right): My "space heater" ("mypersonal-pc2"); Gateway tower; 450 Mhz Intel processor, 120GB HDD, only 1 GB RAM. I'm allowing a neighbor friend to 'borrow' this one so he can keep in touch with his son via email, etc., but I asked him to keep it (at least the CPU) running 24/7 because of the SETI program; just turn the monitor off at night. |

Main cruncher Don't have a decent external shot. Linux laptop: record uptime: 1511d 20h 19m (ended due to the power brick giving-up) |
