I need some help please. I have been gone or at least not active posting. I had to rebuild my hard drive and did some upgrade to software and hard ware. What I would like/need is an easy Optimized APP, something a dummy can do quickly. I ran CPU-Z and I have MX, SSE (1,2,3s), Em64T, and vtx. I also have twin GTX 570’s. What would work best for me? Any ideas and links would be great. thanks |

I assume your machine has ssse3 and SSE4.1 ability. If I were you I'd simply use the Lunatics Unified installer and chose through that. In a rich man's house there is no place to spit but his face. Diogenes Of Sinope |

I would recommend using the SSSE3x version for your rig :) It's the one most people seem to use around here. But yes, the Lunatics unified installer is by far the easiest way of optimising your rig :D |

From what I've been told around here, the SSSE3x app is faster than SSE4.1 app anyway :o |

that all depends on the CPU. IIRC the newer Intel chips (i7's) run faster on the sse4.1 I may be mistaken since I don't do intel chips In a rich man's house there is no place to spit but his face. Diogenes Of Sinope |

I don't have a C2Q to run test on. However I am doing on long term test with my home i7-860 using the SSE4.1 app. Then 5 i7-860's at work 5012752, 5049864, 5168805, 5369466, & 5369492 using the SSSE3. So far it is hard to say but the completion times for the 4.1 app are faster. Even though I had my machine at home clocked down a little due to cooling issues. time will see how it plays out. Jason made the SSE4.1 app on his Core2 Duo E8400 OC. In this time, no Core2 Quad (and of course no Core iX's ;-) was available for buying/testing. Lunatics forum : Core2 Duo E7600, SSSE3 instead of SSE4.1 - Best regards! - Sutaru Tsureku, team seti.international founder. - |

Furthermore, I fail to find a reply from the author of the application. Forgive me for trying to help someone else out. |

On my 2500K, running 4.5 GHz with 1866/10 memory, SSSE3x(x64) is faster than SSE4.1, with like 3-4%. |
