Message 1085805 - Posted: 10 Mar 2011, 20:08:04 UTC - in response to Message 1085785.

Splitting stopped...

I'll panic in 10 days when my caches are empty. Until then I have plenty of work to crunch.

Looks like you were getting prepared to worry for nothing. Someone went & feed it some more tapes.

Message 1086481 - Posted: 12 Mar 2011, 17:54:24 UTC - in response to Message 1086391.

Breaking news: ET has been found. No more files being split. Project over. Panic Mode over.

END.

Yeah I got the same call, unfortunately we are moving from the "find ET" tapes to the "understand ET" tapes. Splitting should resume sometime in the next 48 hours.

Panic Mode can now be called, misunderstanding mode.

Not a good sign- the MB Assimilator queue continues to grow. Eventually they'll run out of storage apace again.
Then everything grinds to a halt.

Matt's now put some logic into his network/project monitoring code that when the assimilator queue hits a high water mark, it shuts off the ntpckrs and rfis.

Currently, 2,755 database queries/second!! WOW.

I'm pretty sure I've never seen more. And Jocelyn seems slightly "bored" by the whole thing...

That's always a good sign.....now we can all take a collective shy of relief. Before they would go down for something like they did yesterday, and when everything came back up it would take a week to sort through issues of different sorts. lol.

I noticed that myself just after I had uploaded a bunch of units. Shows back now.
