I'm using 266.58 and Boinc 6.10.58 with Win7 Pro and GTX 460, all works OK.

Did you check startup messages if the card was recognised?
Is it asking for GPU work?
What about backup projects and resource share?

I'd rather think Boinc was to blame than the driver, but I'm running the 266.58 driver with boinc 6.12.14 under Vista.

Thanks Helli, I'm now downloading the 258.96 driver for My Win7 Pro x64 installation, It's too bad that 266.58 just doesn't seem to want to work with Boinc as It's a good driver otherwise.

I see Helli uses Boinc 6.10.58, and not 6.10.56... Anyway, 266.58 is OK with 6.10.58, seems strange it wouldn't work with 6.10.56.

You're right. I can't get it to work also. The crunching times were 10 times at high as normal with this 266.58 drivers and the GTX295.

@JohnDK

Yes, with the FERMI Cards the newest Driver works fine, but not with the old GTX2x Cards and Win7.

It was documented on Lunatics that the 257.21 driver increased power consumption by a few percent by those that started running it.
Although not really documented, it was assumed by all the the increased power consumption equated to increased crunching activity.

Meow at your own risk.

Sorry but I don't see the logic in blaming the video driver for not being able to download work. If the video card is being recognized by Boinc, should work. And like so many here have said and you should know "Patience is a requirement here".

@ Viciente: I wouldn't know, Maybe someone else does, As I don't have any 400 or 500 series cards, Just GTX295 cards.

thanx! i just wondered; now i can see, it´s "modulating"; recent jobs finished even after less than that. so may be, that is the same with you .. estimated times not reflecting the real final results. should be cool anyway, these are the quickest apps. by now running on my machines at all.

A couple of stable drivers along the way..

260.99
258.96.

They should be good rollback points.

.. 260.99 definitely ok, running 4 weeks now (gts 450 & gtx460); 266.58 (gtx460) also ok - no troubles; would not mess around too much with drivers .. might be other reasons, if things not develop like expected.
