Richard just added those two ip's ,still no joy. I wouldn't bother changing anything else just yet. It's a busy time of day for changing things at Berkeley, and things are looking a bit sluggish on the Server Status page at the moment. They usually try to tidy up before the end of the working day (1 am for us), and I would expect to see new tapes loaded before then: keep an eye on things at intervals through the evening. New tapes doesn't, of course, directly affect tasks already allocated and stuck in downloading, but the general restart could be expected to help. |

If thats the case why would all other projects still work ? They may not be using load balancing. That's where the TTL comes into play. |

Whats TTL? where would i look to find out? or Tuesday Taco Lunch! staceman If you think your local DNS servers might be an issue you could try setting 68.87.64.146 or 68.87.75.194 for your DNS. Those are the DNS servers I am currently using. EDIT: an answer if you were talking to MS. "I'm sorry your operating system is no longer supported. Hmmm, Lunatics seems to be off line at the moment. I've only seen that once before. Steve Edit: It's back again. I couldn't reach it for about 30 minutes. Warning, addicted to SETI crunching! Crunching as a member of GPU Users Group. GPUUG Website |

Hmmmmmmm.... No kibble in the cupboard to split up and send out? Things were going so smoothly last week. Wonder what's up with that. Meow. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |
