It quite late over here
and I've yet to neck a beer.
At least the day is nearly done,
and I can talk on Skype to someone?
It's good to be back amongst friends and colleagues

It's POETS day
I do declare
Our posts should rhyme
Here and there

But then again
What the heck
More important
Get a beer down your neck!

Gosh, it's horrible waking up,
until I see a coffee cup.
But, then It's a struggle to stay that way,
unless a molten cup of Java comes my way.

Winning after work.
First night this week with no meetings or other commitments.
Dinner, a beer, some music and a good book.
And it's..........

raining.

Here It doesn't always rain, Here It can Pour.

40 days and 40 nights, and wait for the sewers to back up.......

Right!

Sewers? We only have septic systems out here.

Flood control channels here and they usually keep the houses on course to the sea.

Yeah, via the Arroyo Seco and then to the LA River... ;)

Or the Rio Hondo to the San Gabriel River.

And through the Whittier Narrows...

I grew up near there.

Lets see I grew up around Sun Valley, Lomita(twice), Tulare(central valley), Mar Vista, Long Beach & Dominguez, Then I moved to San Gabriel and worked around the Narrows at one point.
