Had to laugh at your description of maneuvering in downtown Boston. Ran into the same thing a while back trying to get to a TV client (BC, I believe). 2 blocks away, 45 minutes. When I left, 2 hours to get two blocks to the Interstate.
No wonder red lights are optional up there!!
