Am I the only one wondering what a vintage sewing pattern might be?

Sorry Guys and Girls i got court out by the outage

Right what shall the contest be...

I am working on a project that as part of the requirement we have to replace a large number of street lights or lighting columns

This will be done over a 5 year period and cover a whole city in the UK

so how many lighting columns do we have to replace?

to give you a start the number is between 30 and 80 thousand?

as a secondary question how many tree's do we also have to replace? :) again in the thousands

34567 street lights.
Trees can't be 'replaced' but how about cutting down and replanting 7800 trees.

Ok quick update

one person is very close on the lights

and generally you are close to the trees figure

although John VII is way off with his guess on trees

Miep trees are "replaced" when they get too big! or die or dangerous :)

Judging tomorrow evening

The tree count is the tiebreaker right?

OK, I am going to repeat another one done recently.

On my daily commute of about 60 miles, how many stop lights do I go through? As a tie breaker, how many stop signs? If there is still a tie, how many yield signs? Mind that in the evening, I do not repeat the path that I took in the morning. There is also some limited access highway.

Probably. It is triangular with the point down and means that you have to yield right of way to traffic on the other road. However, if traffic is clear when you are approaching the intersection, you do not have to stop.
