This is curious. The cricket graph suggests no progress, and the 2:10 UTC server status shows no splitter running and negligible inventory, but my host got 8 AP results about twenty minutes ago.

Never mind--they are all _2's, so just reissue of a result just now turned in with an inconclusive validation or an error while computing.

Hmm. Network traffic has plummeted, and there's lots of red on the Server Status page. And the forums went down just as i first tried to make this post.

Synergy and Lando are all that are in the red now. Been off an on the forums every now and then all night tonight haven't really noticed any drops offs, hopefully it stays that way. Seems they had a dip in network activity for about an hour earlier, maybe they are having some network issues on the campus side of things.

I don't know about Lando but isn't Synergy running as Bruno (which was actually the old Bambi) atm?

I believe that is what was stated in a couple of Technical news updates.

Cheers.

Yes.

"Scheduler request failed: HTTP gateway timeout" on my laptop and "Scheduler request failed: HTTP service unavailable" on my desktop machine.

EDIT: now it worked.

Check the tech news. Matt has posted about the problems there. They should work themselves out soon.

There was some hardware shuffling in the closet, so both oscar and carolyn were shut down during the outage, which means both databases need to flood their caches for a while before the project gets back up to speed. During the oscar reboot I set the data partition to mount with the "noatime" flag - this may help i/o a little bit. Also still messing with raid configuration on those systems. We may see additional performance improvements over time

Hmmm. Looks like a return of the "incorrect application selected" problem.

Been getting this for the last half hour or so.

Edit: cricket graph has taken a nosedive!

I seem to be having a problem with uploads.

Nothing showing on the Server Status page.

30/01/2011 23:49:33 SETI@home Started upload of 01au10ae.9840.12337.12.10.71_0_0
30/01/2011 23:49:35 Internet access OK - project servers may be temporarily down.
30/01/2011 23:49:36 Project communication failed: attempting access to reference site
30/01/2011 23:49:36 SETI@home Temporarily failed upload of 01au10ae.9840.12337.12.10.70_0_0: connect() failed
30/01/2011 23:49:36 SETI@home Backing off 24 min 36 sec on upload of 01au10ae.9840.12337.12.10.70_0_0

Cricket Average bits out has dropped in the last hour, and results received is looking a bit low on server status page.

Yeah I seem to be having the same problem.
At 1st I thought it was my problem, Boinc popped up with a network communication error. Telling me that I needed to check my internet connection.

The server status page is not infallible as the Cricket graph, http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/forum_reply.php?thread=62926&post=1072634#input, shows but I'm sure that the guys will get right onto it first thing Monday morning (in about 7hrs or so). ;)

Cheers.

You might have meant to link cricket. That's looking as if somebody kicked something in the early hours of the morning - possibly to the benefit of the AP boyz and gurlz. My MB uploads are still backed up, stopping further work fetch.

Yes I did. LOL

I'm not sure how I did that, thanks.

Cheers.
