Thanks again for another year of generous support for our project! We couldn't do this without everybody's help. Onward to 2011...

Thank you lot & the SETI team for everything this year - SETI has been a major part of home-life throughout the year & I've learnt a lot. Looking forward to a possible monster new machine sometime in the year.

Message 1061322 - Posted: 30 Dec 2010, 8:10:49 UTC - in response to Message 1061016.

Greetings all,

Actually, thanks to you Matt and the others.

Here's to the continued, enjoyable "@home" passive research assistance programs, provided via the many people from Berkley / BONIC.

May they all prove to be even more fruitful to everyone involved with them in any way, in the coming new year of 2012, and may SETI receive another, but this time sustained and confirmed "WOW! signal" from the neighbors out there.

{ Hopefully, they're not saying to turn down the volume. . . or still worse, prepare to be assimilated. :-) }

Health, wealth, joy, and happiness to us all in 2012.
Wishing you continued science "fun" and at least, always valid results,
Laters,
Rick "WHOSIT" W.

Greetings all,

Yes. I stand corrected twice over MarkJ. Sorry about that.

All the folding of space near event horizons messed up my clocks. . . and my head. :-)

That 2011 is better than 2010 for all and for Seti @ Home (material that is less down, most notably from the calculation of the Kepler Mission and Green Bank ...)

...and a whole-hearted, superluminarily emitted (speed of thought) Happy MMXI to you and your colleagues Matt. I'll hazard a...gulp...guess? and say you are currently somewhere in the Pacific Time Zone of good ol' U.S. of A. where undoubtedly as I write many a gathering of anticipative shuffling feet mingle in well-oiled social cohesion during these final minutes of 2010. Apart from the obligatory goodness, health, happiness, prosperity etc. - May you make lots and lots of m-o-n-e-y :)

To my fellow-participants in this particularly interesting project, I wish the very best for 2011. From what I have gathered in my brief encounter with you all in my readings I really am just a very small cog in the wheel, but a cog nonetheless (though I did originally join up in '99 under a different nick and addy...sorry, just had to get that off of my plate). My thoughts go out to all the dedicated volunteers globally who have generously given their time to Matt and the gang at the Berkeley Mental Institution (my coined expression for any establishment of academic prowess).

I was confined to the Perth Mental Institute (University of Western Australia). Now that I have been released from that straight jacket I can unfold my plan to rule the world. Bwaa ha ha haaa!

Reality bytes.

Cheers All.
