I'll drink to that!
Just happen to have a couple bottles of Coastal Fog IPA from the Tied House Brewery in San Jose.
(Closest I could come to Berkeley from my BOMC cache)

I am convinced that memorial day weekend is for drinking beer. A toast to all those that protected our freedom here in the US, and elsewhere in the world!

Cheers!

Oh dear
I've run out of beer.

I'll have to resort to the home brew "confusion" wine. Why "confusion wine"? - Black coffee keeps me awake and wine sends me to sleep, so imagine the effect of coffee wine......

'tis dangerous stuff, the world moves into soft focus, but my alertness stays about the same, barring odd blips of feeling sleepy or wide awake and twitching - really quite strange (confusing). The smooth rich flavour of a really good espresso with the tongue tingle of a strong wine, and a certain smoothness, but not overly sweet.

Well how about this local place?

Berkeley Beer

Triple Rock - I was wondering if they were still there.
Used to drive down from Mare Island Naval Shipyard in Vallejo in 89-90.

Was another place a few blocks away, Bison Brewery. And a brewpub in the Powelll Street Marketplace off I-80 in Emeryville, and.....

Alte Rathaus, Hannover. They are holding a celebration on July 2 to honor the discoverers of two new pulsars through Einstein@home crunching Arecibo data. I wish I could attend just to drink again that beer. Prosit!

Some of my favorite beers are the Trappist Ales The flavors are carefully blended, and aromas are excellent, not to mention they kick like a mule!

Leave it to a bunch of monks get know how to really get messed up!

Avetinus (sp) is one of my favorites!! wonderful clove finish!

I was able to get the yeast out of a couple bottles and use it to brew some mead.
Turned out great!

I got another 58 litres of lager brewing away now which I'll bottle in 4-5 days time. ;)

Cheers.

Well the beer was bottled yesterday (it'll be in the cue for at least 10 months before it gets close to being drunk). ;)

Plus today I bottled 10 litres of dark rum (40% alcohol), only for medicinal purposes of course. :D

Cheers.
