Well it's mowing season again. I have a 5 acre lawn, and a lawn tractor. I made sure I got one with a beer holder on it, but due to the uneveness of my huge yard, the beer sloshes out and goes flat in about 10 feet. The trick is to prepare the yard by putting a beer every 50 feet. The mowing will never get done, but it really won't matter much.... Eagle Raccoon Lovers |

I thought all right Ive got it made. Till I took a swig and it was foam. YUCK. Tried the drinking a beer before mowing, but all the jostling activates the bladder. So I have a beer after I mow. Knowing one person that stepped on a running chainsaw while prunning an orchard, ran himself over with a tractor, tried to light his woodstove with gasoline(yes you can guess the result)... I highly recommend the idea of rewarding yourselves with as many beers as you wish AFTER the work is done. Janice |

Knowing one person that stepped on a running chainsaw while prunning an orchard, ran himself over with a tractor, tried to light his woodstove Seems like you are describing someone with less that a full deck to start with. I certainly won't run a chainsaw, or handle large snakes, but mowing the lawn without beer should be illegal. I did about 1/3 of it today, and still had to stop and pick up rocks and sticks. I managed to bring out the deck swing, the deck hose, and take care of some of the basics. Now is a good time to settle back and have a few cold beers. That way I can look at all the work I should be doing, but found a great excuse not to.... Eagle Raccoon Lovers |

We have wheat beer breakfast today to celebrate a co workers 50th birthday. It being Bavaria, I suppose there's Weisswurst as well? Carola ------- I'm multilingual - I can misunderstand people in several languages! |

We have wheat beer breakfast today to celebrate a co workers 50th birthday. One of my Canadian co-workers during my extended visits in Bavaria used to insist on ordering Weisswurst in the afternoon. Places in Munchen would roll their eyes, smile, and deliver the Weisswurst. A few places in smaller towns would get into very lengthy and even heated discussions about why they wouldn't do it. |

Not after the 'Angelus' bell - 12 noon. Used to be a rule because the sausages go off so quickly. Not an issue any more with refrigeration, but the rule persists. Carola ------- I'm multilingual - I can misunderstand people in several languages! |

I've heard Mike's explanation many times, but that is the first time I've heard Miep's. Back to topic: it's Friday here, about to pop another Keith's IPA. Love the hops! |

For me, it's Tuesday, and time for a fresh beer. I love working on computers, and swigging down a cold beer. It really makes work a lot of fun. As I am a software engineer, I have spent hours writing software in my head, while pacing back and forth on the back deck drinking beer! The method works very well for me. I imerse myself in the problem at hand, and then walk away from it. Then I think abouit it in a relaxed state, and always come up with a solution. I have come to the conclusion, that beer is good!
