Sounds nice. Right now I'd like to drink something to forget this Monday, the weekend, the Friday before and most of the last 8 months. At 2pm that's not gonna happen. Silly world... Carola ------- I'm multilingual - I can misunderstand people in several languages! |

Im looking for the magic elixar that you can take when you fist start off in the working world. And when its time to retire you wake up to have the dude give you the stinking watch and say youve been an asset to the company these last 45 years. Well I can dream cant I? [/quote] Old James |

No production beer here. Excellent! Another home-brewer! I used to brew my own till my back went south. The best batch I ever made was a fluke. I brewed up some Stout, and I was checking the gravity to see when I should bottle it. I checked the gravity and when I went to replace the lock, and saw a tiny spider at the end of his web just gotten past the tiny opening at the top of my bottle. Fear gripped because I knew that even a small amount of bacteria could ruin a batch of beer. I slowly gripped his web, and was pulling him out, and I almost had him within reach... when wham!!! He dropped anchor and splashed into the brew. I wasn't about to make things worse by pulling him out, so I just replaced the cork and hoped for the best. The best happened! The best damn beer I'd ever made! I called it Spider Stout, in memory of the poor fellow who gave his life for my beer. It was delicious, and potent too, measuring 9.6% alcohol. |

No production beer here. I've been home brewing for over 20yrs now but my brewroom is a no lift setup so my stuffed back doesn't has any probs. I do lager, ginger beer and spirits here. Cheers. |

I've been home brewing for over 20yrs now but my brewroom is a no lift setup so my stuffed back doesn't has any probs. Wow. You're good. Nice setup there. It was a lot of work, and I think I ruined my bathtub from cleaning the fermenter with bleach. And I've always only used the canned syrup. Kind of cheating, but hey! I've had my shares of disasters, as well as some of the real good stuff. :-D |

I've been home brewing for over 20yrs now but my brewroom is a no lift setup so my stuffed back doesn't has any probs. My brew room is very much much like a kitchen but without a stove and bench tops. Thankfully there's better things than bleach these days to do that job but, touch wood, I've never had a bad brew yet though if I did I'd just put it through the mini-still. ;) There's nothing wrong with using the canned syrup, Coopers Lager this end, as I get a consistent flavour all the time. :) BTW I just finished making 8L of dark rum, party tonight. :D Cheers. |

One cuppa coming up. Oh sorry, you meant something else? ;) I hope I get some homebrew, next time I visit friends in England. Carola ------- I'm multilingual - I can misunderstand people in several languages! |

I've been away for too long, and some of the beer has gotten warm. No time to fix it like the present! I chilled 30 Budweisers, and have another 30 waiting in case that's not enough. Eagle Raccoon Lovers |

Not necessarily. They are in case the first 30 aren't enough, but they actually are in a case. Since I am the only one drinking them, If I get any where near 30, then I will be slurring my text to an extreme measure! Well at least I can share them with anyone here who wants one, and perhaps they will go a bit quicker. This one's for you Chris! Eagle Raccoon Lovers |

I am torn. Better beer takes a lot less. But I have to admit, I HATE HATE HATE (did I mention hate?) taking clanking bottles out. So.. should I just stick with the 2-3 decent brands that come in the cans.. (and yes, grumble a bit lugging those out) or.. is it time to give up and just get a kegerator.. Janice |

I was just out shoveling snow, and I'm pooped! Me thinks is is definitly time for 30 or 40 cold beers! I have no exotics today, so some good old Belgian owned, American Budweisers will have to do. Eagle Raccoon Lovers |

If anyone is ever in Jacksonville FL, there is a remarkable neighborhood bar Kickbacks at the corner of Post and King Streets in the Avondale neighborhood. There are 80 taps and 600 beers available. The owner has his extensive bottle collection displayed on the walls, and his collection of tap pull handles hangs from the ceiling. Also excellent food. Chuck |

For some strange reason, the owner of this thread has finished antibiotics, and is celebrating with a couple of Trappist Ales. Mmmmmmmm Beer! Eagle Raccoon Lovers |

Since Spring is here, or at least on the calender, I think this calls for a few very cold beers! It's still cold outside, but yardwork must be done, as an excuse for swigging down some beer. All I have to do is drink at a fast enough rate where the flies won't try to help themselves.... Eagle Raccoon Lovers |
